There must be a simple reason why MegaMan isn't here.

However, I don't know the simple reason. Seems to me he should be an absolute lock if Snake made it, considering that his first six games were on NES, and the is almost nobody who hasn't heard of him. Is it a Capcom =/= Nintendo technicality that keeps MegaMan out of Brawl?

Other than that, the only argument I can think of why he shouldn't be in Brawl is that he basically has the same signature move as Samus (Charge Shot.) But there have been plenty of other clones in SSB history.

Let me say explicitly that I wanted to see MegaMan in Brawl, and I'm a MegaMan fan.

For all he know, he IS in brawl.. they just have not told us yet.... he could very well be. and it would be cool. as for a reason he WOULD not be in, um... let me see... how about.... .... he's got a moveset, he's got looks, capcom and Nintendo are friends right now... um... let a non-megaman fan answer that. I am sure they could come up with something
