I'm sad that my job working at a professional theater is ending. I was only doing run crew, but it's still way cool to make a living off of something you love. So I was wondering who else out here are aspiring theater people!

Here's some of the most recent stuff I've been in. Anyone else feel like owning my resume?

Li’l Abner - Clem Scragg
The Real Inspector Hound - Moon
This is a Test - Student
Hear Them Hillbilly Weddin’ Bells - Parson Diddle
HONK! - Greylag/Father Swan
Sweeney Todd - Bird Seller/Tobias u/s
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum - Protean
The Maker of Dreams - The Manufacturer (And Stage Manager)
Les Miserables - Run Crew Captain
The Sound of Music - Run Crew Captain
Big River - Run Crew

The last three are the only things I've been paid to do. The rest is all just college and high school stuff. :)

Wherever McFox tells me I am.
Niiice man. I've always been into theatre, but it was only something I wanted to do when I was in a good mood, so it was hard for me to follow. A lot of the time, I wasn't it too good of a mood, and didn't want to put the energy into my character. So not something I'll do professionally, but for funsies, always. Acting, that is. Teching has always been a passion of mine.

I've seen... The Lion King on Broadway?

;_;

My town is known for Star Trek, not theater.

I consider myself an actor of sorts. I have been told I have a talent, but I wouldn't go into theatre unless someone was like "Hey that kid looks good!" while watching a high school play or something. You need to be sooooo lucky. What irritates me is the people who use the "actor voice". Anyone know what I'm talking about? It's like the tone of your voice suggests that you are acting. It's annoying as heck.

Heh, I've recently been doing high school drama stuff. I've auditioned twice for two things so far - and twice I have gotten the lead. :bee:

First was a student directed One Act named 3:33
the second Moon over Buffalo by... Ken Ludwig I wanna say.

I've pretty much been out of trying theater because in one act, I wasn't given "Best Actor" because the judge didn't want to give the two awards to one school.

Only recently I've been helping my teacher out with tech. It's actually pretty fun.
