My last moveset

http://www.smashboards.com/news/blogs/73716/956/the-altrox-makes-a-move-set-mr-resetti

Yo, so the last set didn't get many posts, so I hope this one works out. This was actually inspired by a dream I had (lol) where I was Brawling with Magikarp. It seemed stupid at first, but then I realized he was very move-set worthy, so...

MAGIKARP!!!!!1!1!!!!

Stance: Flops up and down on his side. His height is always changing. When he ducks, he lays flat on the ground.
Costumes: Orange, Red, Gold, Blue, Green, Black
Special Property: Can't drown (but can be spiked in water.)
Shield: Basic shield properties
Jumps: High (flopping around your whole life is good practice.)
Walking: Flops forward. Running is a fast version of this.

A: Short lunge
AA: A + Tailflop
AAA: AA + Continuous tailflop
Walking A: Flicks whiskers forward. Range.
Running A: Far Lunge. Can kill at high percents, but Karp is left vulnerable for a second.
Down Tilt: Lays on ground, and throws snout forward.
Up Tilt: Sticks whiskers in air fast. Good juggling move.
Nair: "Ivysaur" Nair spin. Good damage builder.
Fair: Forward nose drill (not a sex kick) Can kill if sweet spotted.
Bair: Sex kick. Flaps tail really fast. Great damage builder.
Uair: Throws head upward. High percent kill.
Dair: Nose-dive spike, but risky over the edge. Like TL.
Down Smash: Break Dance Spin. Sort of like Bowser's down smash but weaker. Can kill if opponent ends up in center at high percent.
Side smash: Balances on whishers and throws body forward (Ivysaur F smash) Kill move.
Up smash: Like S-Smash, but upwards. Not as good at killing.

Grabs: Grabs with whiskers. Hits with head. Nice range but stall if miss. Can grab ledges.
Forward-grab: Strikes with body forward.
Back-grab: Swing around and release backwards. Kill at high percents.
Down-grab: Drobs body on opponent for minor damage. Can chain till 20% when knock-back kicks in.
Up-Grab: F-grab air wise.

SPECIAL MOVES

Neutral B: SPLASH!!! Charges up by flopping in weird manner. Then splashes water at opponent. No damage, but pushes like FLUDD. THe range is less, but splashes a triangle at greater height. Very little lag after use, so can be used off-stage, then flop back.
Side B: Lunges forward and swallows opponent's head. Like Wario Bite. Can suicide kill?
Down-B: FLAIL!!! At early damage, it's virtually useless, but when Karp has high damage, he uses it like Jiggle's Down B, to do high damage and knockback. Is motionless after attack though for a short period of time.
Up-B: Flutters by wiggling his body to recover. Opponent can get caught in this.

Final Smash: He let's out a cry, and a Gyarados comes in, and he sits on it's head while the big guy attacks. Gyarados can use Dragon Rage, which kills if knocked, and leaves flames on the ground. Can also charge opponents.

Up-taunt: Flops in the air and spins.
Side-taunt: Flops happily with that go-lucky voice.
Down-taunt: Starts to evolve (glowing) but stops mid-way.

Lose Stance: Flops on ground like nothing happened.

Win stance
1: Like Side Taunt
2: Splashes camera happily
3: Break Dance spin

I read your other moveset blog entry and believe me, although the MYM thread gets pretty crowded and it's easy to get lost with all of the more veteran moveset makers, it's worth getting into.

You can improve so much from feedback. Sure, some people on the thread can make abrasive comments, but we all had a long talk about that and now we're all Kumbayah about it. Hopefully.

It's okay to post a crappy first moveset, as long as you show signs of improvement. Also, even though when you see a moveset made by a master, you can borrow ideas and concepts from it in terms of creativity and presentation and content alongside pessimistically insisting to yourself that anything you post will look like crap.

Trust me, I know.

Unfortunately, my friend said I can't do repeats. Resseti and Karp have probably been done already. and I really don't want to add in statistics. I just wanted to do something simple like this.

You can't do repeats if the movesets share lots of moves. As long as they are suitably different it's all good.

But yeah, not trying to push you or anything. But if you enjoy doing this kind of thing, some MYM regulars are pretty helpful.

And improving a useless hobby always has rewards somewhere down the line. Or so I keep telling myself.
