Hi, I'm Tank McCannon. Anyone else play in this area? I've always played Melee here and there, but I've only recently been watching pro videos and wanting to get better.

Right now, I mainly use Jigglypuff, but I also use Marth, Falco and Fox.

So come on, anyone else around here? I only play with a group of three friends and I'm trying to get into a tourney scene.

I also live near Youngstown...in fact, I play with Tank quite often. If we get enough people to reply here, I'll start posting details about upcoming tournaments that I basically run through GameCrazy in Austintown.

I live Really close to Youngstown I live in Hubbard so i could probly make it to anything with in a 10 15 mile range but it would be garder for me to get any further without a ride from someone I am up for anything at anytime I could bring a cube and a 13inch (yeah its small) to any event it is needed (i use it for in between round practice) so if you have any info or want to put somthing togeather post it

theres noone around me that play the only i play other ppl is if i go to butler pa my friends always have little tournys. I play as Yoshi and Marth and if i need 3 ppl for a tourny i use Mario

I've been working almost every Saturday, so I talked with my manager and soon I should be getting every other Saturday off. This way, I'll be able to attend the tourneys that are being held at the GameCrazy in Austintown. From what ALB tells me, the turn-outs are starting to become better.

Right now it probably wouldn't be worth the trip for most of you unless you live roughly 10-15 minutes away (or closer). The first tournament we held was free admittance and only turned out approxiamtely 5 people. They all said they'd be returning, and we also had people who had signed up and didn't show for one reason or another. I didn't expect a huge output right off the bat, so hopefully the tournies will just keep getting bigger.

Once we get some regulars we'll start thinking about entry fees, sponosors, prizes, etc. etc.

Austintown GameCrazy 1v1 Weekly Melee Tournament

Where: Austintown, OH GameCrazy
When: Saturdays, 1:00 PM EST
What: 1v1 Melee tournament using standard tournie rules
Entry Fee: At this current time, there is no entry fee to participate in the tournaments. They are just for fun at the moment, however, once we get enough people to show up regularly we will begin to introduce entry fees and prizes depending on how many participants there are. We may also have exclusive GameCrazy MVP member-only tournamnets as well. The MVP card for GameCrazy is described in full detail on GameCrazy's website. Here's the link.
What to Bring: Controllers will be provided for tournament participants but if you feel the need to use your own to practice whilst others play, feel free. 1st party controllers only, please. This meaning no turbo/combo buttons. (Wavebirds allowed)
