The Wii U Selling Even More

With the release of MarioKart 8, WIi U sales are rising.

It is very impressive that it sold 1.2 million copies withing the first 2 days, and the Wii U looks like it will hit the turning point, much like the 3DS in 2013. What do you guys think about this? What do you guys think this means for smash, nintendo exclusives, and 3rd party titles?

This can potentially affect Smash Bros. 4, which is why this thread is justified. This can either make it so Smash 4 releases later or sooner, it can go either way. Also Wii U sales also affect Nintendo, which affects Smash Bros. This can give them a larger budget, new resources ect. Also they could potentially take what worked in Mario Kart 8, such as tournaments and implement it.

It doesn't mean much. Mario Kart 8 boosted the sales for the Wii U, but it will eventually go back to selling poorly. There is essentially no big games announced for the system, until Smash Bros is released. Not to mention very few franchises sell as much as Mario Kart does. Of course, they might announce games for the next semester on E3, but well, I can predict the future.

I don't mean to be rude but.... was there anyone who didn't expect this news? The same thing will happen when Smash released, and this Gen's naysayers will be put to rest on whether or not Nintendo is failing with the Wii U. This is literally the 3ds all over again.
