While reading around the forums, someone (I'm sorry I forget who exactly lol) had the idea of creating a mailing list for smashers mainly about tournaments. Everyone doesn't normally always know when a tournament is going on, and sometimes searching for them can be a pain. That's why I'm here, to take this idea into fruition.
The Weekly Atlantic North Smash Mailing List is just what it sounds like, its a mailing list designed for smashers in the atlantic north area. You simply sign up with your email address, and you will receive an email each week (probably between Monday and Wednesday), and it will mainly discuss two things. 1) Recent news in the Atlantic North. Results from past tournaments may be mentioned, perhaps news about big upsets or new players hitting the scene, and more. 2) Perhaps the most important part, upcoming tournaments. The email will contain most, if not all upcoming tournaments in the area and a small description about it, and a link to the page on SWF so smashers can learn more about it.
I'm going to set this up by splitting up areas. One person can not simply keep full track of the entire Atlantic North and be expected to keep track of everything. So I'm going to split this up into a couple sections. The NJ-PA section is the only one planned as of now, but I imagine other areas could be like NY-NE (New York and North East), and MD-VA. A different person will step up to deliver the newsletter to each region, and so far I will step up to take control of the NJ-PA mailing list.

How do I sign up?
Leave a reply in this thread simply stating which mailing list(s) you wish to sign up for (you don't have to be part of the area to sign up for it!), and what your email address is. This is how you will receive the newsletter.
How do I volunteer to run a mailing list?
We need more people to run mailing lists for other areas in the Atlantic North area, preferably NJ-NE, and MD-VA. Leave a message in the discussion thread, or perhaps send me a PM. I can hook you up with info on how to run the mailing list.
Where can I talk about the mailing list?
You can talk about the mailing list in the discussion thread here. I want to keep this thread simply to people signing up so it's easy to find everyone who wants to sign up, without searching through clutter of all the chat.
