The utility of Forward-B

Could someone explain how to use this properly?

I run into a big problem with this move a lot, which is if I try to short hop a Forward-B it has a tendency to land Lucas with tons of lag and no FireBolt comes out. What's up with that? I feel I can only use it on the ground or high in the air, I can't figure out how to short hop this SOB properly.

for short range just just pk waveland. its good because you can attack and space your self properly to
which is pretty fortunate if you ask me

(pk fire close to landing and you slide sort of like a wave dash)

You're just not hitting side b fast enough. Go to training mode and practice getting your fingers to move more quickly, and it'll work soon enough.

You can always try C-Sticking.

There's really nothing more to it that short hopping and pressing forward and B relatively quickly, there is plenty of leeway in the timing for you to get it off.

i actualy cant do it while b sticking.
i geuss its the smae speed issue .

If you do it TOO close to the ground, the Fire will cancel out. Find that ideal spot above that.

Yeah, just PK Fire right when you initiate the short hop. if your coming down on the short hop, you'll land before the fire comes out and it cancels off.

Dont PKF as you fall, do it right when you take off
