ok guys, its pretty much agreed that Super Mario Galaxy is one of the best games to come out on the Wii, but how does it stack up against the other Mario greats? post your rank here, the top ten Mario games ever in your opinion.

Note: the SSB series are NOT Mario games

Here is my list:

10. Super Mario Bros 2 (NES)
09. Super Paper Mario (Wii)
08. Mario Kart DS (DS)
07. Super Mario Bros: Lost Levels (SNES)
06. New Super Mario Bros (DS)
05. Super Mario Bros (NES)
04. Super Mario World (SNES)
03. Super Mario 64 (N64)
02. Super Mario Bros 3 (NES)
01. Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)

That's right...I have long been in the minority, thinking SMB3 was the greatest Mario game ever, over Super Mario 64. I no longer think that. I now think that Super Mario Galaxy is the greatest Mario game of all time.

this thread is supposed to be so you all can make your own lists. Mario RPG wasnt on my list, it could be on yours though.

Here is my list. Granted I do not own Galaxy yet, and won't til Xmas most likely, but here we go so far, with games I Have PLAYED only, and that excludes basically all the SNES ones.

1. SMB 3
2. Super Mario 64
3. Super Mario RPG
4. Super Mario 2: 6 Golden Coins (GBA)
5. SMB
6. Mario Kart 64
7. Mario Strikers Charged
8. Mario Superstar Baseball
9. Mario Golf (GCN)
10. SMB 2

Again, no SNES except RPG because you have to play the game or you can't call yourself a gamer. I'm sure Galaxy will top this list, and Sunshine would be on there had I played more than world I of the game.
