"A race of charming mushrooms that dwell in the Mushroom Kingdom, they prefer to be called Toads... Come to think of it, that's an odd name. It's not like they're very good jumpers. Captain Toad can't jump at all! What's that? ToadSTOOLS?
...That makes more sense."

NOTE: The part where the trophy description says "Captain Toad can't jump at all!" Leads me to believe Captain toad will be a assist trophy or character in the Wii U version because, there is no captain toad trophy in the 3ds version.
