i saw this video posted in another thread somewhere, but i cant find where, and i forgot who posted it...but i think everyone thats making predictions about brawl needs to see it. what is it you ask? why, its a melee trailer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oppaug9tz80

notice how every attack has rediculous hitstun (watch multihit attacks such as kirbys dair). the game seems as slow as the brawl trailers. not only that, but i also noticed that in one scene fox's firefox looks rediculously long (maybe that was just me). what about it? well, for one thing, the speed we see in the current brawl trailers is most likely slower what is going to be in the actual game. in fact, that 'speed modified' mentioned by sakurai could in fact mean that the game has been sped up. not likely, but hey, we can dream.

what do you guys think though, are they actually pulling a similar stunt with the brawl trailers?

here is the original link posted by fanewgie. you can download the vid here. (its called 'character parade'). thanks fanewgie!

i believe that in the brawl trailers they are not l-canceling so yeah, i think it will be as fast-paced as melee.
check the roll of some characters i believe is way faster than melee too

I think I posted the video in another thread, I don't even remember which one it was. But it's on IGN still.

The "Character parade" video.

But yeah, looking back now at how much Melee changed from being first announced to release, I'm sure Brawl will gradually go through the same changes that we won't really notice until sometime after release.

What Brawl trailers we do have are already 6+ months oldish, it would probably be a good idea to avoid assumptions based on those at this point in time. When/if a third trailer is released, probably at E3, we'll be able to get a much cleaner idea of what Brawl will play like.

Yeah I watched that video about a month ago, and I noticed how similar it was to the Brawl trailer. It will definitely be different when it's finally released.

On a side note, did anyone notice how the moves were slightly different? Fox's slow blaster, DK seemed to walk slower when carrying characters...

I'm glad this thread was created. :)

oh, and if the guy that originally posted this up would like to give me the link you originally posted, that would be appreciated. it was a downloadable version...also if there is a topic for this already somewhere, sorry, but i didnt see one.
I'm glad you brought up this video as a source. Many people have been saying that Melee was much slower int he trailers, and I believed it, but seeing this video makes me much more excited for Brawl.
