Hello everyone and welcome to the Smashening Online!

This tournament will be run gradually over several days. We will be using a double elimination format.

The complete rules can be found here.

For this first event, I will be capping the tournament at 16 participants, first-come first-served. This is to give the idea a test and work out the bugs before opening it to more and more people. Participants are encouraged to be residents of the US for connection-strength's sake.

Confirmed Participants:

Short-Form Rules
2 stock, 6 minutes.
Omega Stages Only. Doesn't matter which one, but it's gotta be Omega.
Custom Moves are allowed (and thus, Customization should be set to ON by the room host).
Equipment is not allowed.
Miis are allowed.
Due to enforcability limitations, we will always defer to the game's judgment. This includes playing out sudden death.
Online has lag. Deal with it. If both players agree, you can re-play a match that had lag issues.
Best 2 out of 3 for all non-finals rounds. Rounds need not be played on the same day, just within the round timeframe.

Only one player needs to report the match results for each matchup, in the following format:
Player Name A vs Player Name B
Character(s) A vs Character(s) B (in match order preferred)
Winner: Player Name

If both players report the result, no big deal, but if there is a dispute, then evidence may be called for.

TO reserves the right to make all judgments regarding disputes.

To register, post here with your interest, include your NNID. Your name will appear on the bracket and participant list as it is on Smashboards (for simplicity's sake).

Questions are welcome, I will do my best to answer. We'll work out a start date if/when we get any entrants.

Once each round begins, players will have three days to coordinate their matches between each other. This timeframe may be tweaked for future events if it is too short or too long.

Happy Smashing!
