Ahh~ Sega. I think they still do a good job on games. Their Sonic games are lacking, but the rest are still good. The only Sega hardware I've ever owned are the Gamegear and the Dreamcast. Some games that I was fond of were Sonic games, Vectorman, Altered Beast, and Jet Set Radio.

I want to buy Valkyria Chronicles since I've heard good things about it.
I'm also looking forward to Sonic 4.

The group from SEGA that worked on F-Zero GX never seem to get the credit they deserve. Everyone remembers GX was awesomeness, no one seems to remember SEGA's to thank for it. Or they just keep too quiet about that. :chuckle:

I started my gaming life with SEGA so I'll always owe these guys big. Never die guys.

Interestingly, I was in the process of adding that before I started to question it's popularity. I guess I was wrong, and I freaking love Puyo Puyo. Although I must agree with Jimmybob, those mean beans were pretty cool.

Right now from them, I'm looking forward to The Conduit 2 and Sonic The Hedgehog 4. Make sure to add The Conduit 2 to the list, also, list the platform they're going to be for. Just a suggestoin.

Looking back on them we all know the add-ons SEGA put out for the Genesis were... well, a bad idea in practice. But back then when they first came out did anyone support them?

I remember I didn't really have too much interest in the add-ons, due to not having any games that I really wanted. Some I wanted to try out sure, but never one that I just had to have. Knuckles' Chaotix and Sonic CD were basically the only real reason I thought I'd ever want the 32X and the SEGA CD respectively. As time went on and the months passed my curiosity faded and by the time I got a chance to play either one, we were well into the N64 and Playstation.

Oh, and SEGA Saturn of course. Never had one of those either.

If I recall, they didn't have much support for either. The Sega CD was made with "interactive movies" in mind (for those of you who aren't familiar, interactive movies were FMVs in which the player made choices that altered what happened next, no where near as cool as it sounds half the time), but it didn't get much in the way of support. And the 32X didn't either, because most companies decided to hold out until the PlayStation.

As for the Saturn, I myself have never owned or played one but from what I've read, it is a very underrated system. If you dig through old reviews, you'll see that the saturn a ton of titles that recieved a lot of critical praise. There were a lot of problems that caused the Saturn to fail in the west, but one of them was the CEO of Sega of America at the time. He had this odd belief that American gamers wouldn't be interested in a lot of the games that made the Saturn a hit in Japan, and thus a lot of games were not localized. The Play N Trade near me is apparently getting a ton of Saturn games in, so if they have the system in I might pick it up along with some of the games.

Apparently it is. Much like the Dreamcast I only hear people speak positively about the Saturn now, unless they mention the American fiasco. I had the chance to play a Saturn back then but I can't for the life of me remember what game I was playing. I remember liking the system but it didn't really grab me. I'll also agree with the lack of a real Sonic title hurting the system's lifespan, especially over here in the States where the system was begging for the titles it was denied.

If I remember right the Saturn version of Mega Man 8 is supposed to be better than the PS version. If you're into the Mega Man series, see if they have that.
