when i first used down smash i thought it was crap. About 1 week and a half ago i found out that it is very fast and useful. A down smash is like a free combo. TIP: When a character is around 65-70% you can do 3 down smashes yes 3 and that is 33% right there. If you are fast enough you can up air them and that is an additional 11% for a total of 44% hit combo. Also against space animals you can do down smash 4 times starting at 0% and thats a total of 44% then you can do whatever you want. try it guys. If you guys want me to make a video i can.

Ya, I noticed this too. her down smash has like like zero lag afterwords.

My favorite combo with it has been D-smash>d-smash>U-smash/utilt.

Humm, I guess I will try this right now!

I can't seem to land a DSamsh so this should be hard for me. . .

Really, I find this kind of hard to believe because the down smash stunning abilities doesn't stock up.

Have you try to do this to human opponents who know how to DI property?

Against veteran players, on average I can Dsmash twice before the stun wears off and they DI. I normally just follow up the second with a Fsmash or grab and combo.

ye its hard to pull off you could always just dsmash twice then back air or something or just do three dsmashes and run away lol. the higher the % they are on the easily it if for the person to di and or air dodge.

Actually this is incorrect. The higher the enemies % the longer the stun goes making dsmash combos easier to do.

At 0% this is more difficult to do as they will get out of the second dsmash, but you can still do a third hit with certain moves (like uptilt/usmash, they start up really fast), but you have to be really close after the dsmashes. At around 100% and greater this is actually much better. I have even been able to do dsmash> dsmash>fsmash before the stun wore off.

the real problem is that dsmash is hard to pull off in the first place.:(

I find Dsmash > side B to be a pretty effective tactic at decent percentages. When the distance is right you're in the right spot for the side B to push them right into the sweetspot for a nice ring out.

Dsmash does own though if you can land it.

I agree with Dirian, it's generally more worthwhile if you're able to land a dsmash to use her side B as the follow-up, since it has so much more KO power than the fsmash, and roughly the same range/damage

but as was also mentioned, it's generally difficult to land a dsmash just due to how close you have to get to your opponent.

ye true but if you are a person that loves using side b a lot it will get weaker and it will be harder to knock someone out. Using side b is hard to hit someone if the person just keeps moving and perfect shielding. You could always dsmash 3 threes then when they are really high at % then yes dsmash forward b would work or back air.

maybe someone should make a" land" down smash thread or tips to land down smash. For now I say do it for close move whiff or after a shield/dodge perhaps.

the Dsmash gives u total control over ur opponent quick and easily - and its almost sure fire for a 2-3 hit combo wen u land the 1st hit

Dmash > Dsmash > NeutralB > FowardB/Fsmash - this usually keeps any opponent stunned long enuff to decide wat to do with them

The most common way I end up using dsmashes is after hitting an upB on them. Outside of that, it almost never happens. =/

I think what I'm going to work on more is finding the best spots to abuse the upB, and then from there work out the dsmash->dsmash->?

I find i get my dsmashes because of my stun gun. If some1 dash attacks me, i will sometimes try to shoot a blast, if they are right in front of you when it hits theres sometimes just enough time to get the dsmash in. Then from there im experimenting a few combos.

Has anybody tried jab combos, shield canceling the last one? It seems like it should work decently out of that, sending them into an utilt/usmash or forward smash afterwards.

i hate her jab combos they can be easily blocked. But if it works for other people then they are really lucky.
