The real roster - Has NOTHING to do with 2ch, guys.

Ok, apparantly you are all under the impression that I got this information from the 2ch "leak." This is not true. So before you guys are go "Z0MH!!1 FAKEZZ!!!!111" I will explain how I figured out the roster step by step, since some of you are too dim to get it though your thick skulls. Also, many of you are under the impression that if you don't like the roster, then it MUST be fake. How many of you expected Pichu, Doc, Young Link, and Mr. Game & Watch in Melee?

And yes, it is 35 characters. I know this because of the same source: Reno. I repeat: Reno, not 2ch. Reno is a member of Neo GAF and has leaked info before. Mods on NeoGAF say he is extremely reliable source and trust his information, so I highly doubt he would choose now to start making stuff up. But its not only him. A number of unnrelated "prophets" as we call them have given out information, and so far none of it has been disproven. But wait... IT ALL MATCHES UP!! Anyway, Reno THE RELIABLE SOURCE has said there are 35 characters.

Since Reno gave us all the newcomers, that means the remaining three must be veterans. Now I will explain how these others were confirmed.

Now he said Mewtwo was out. Remove him, Pichu, Doc (because they are the obvious choices) and Young Link, because I highly doubt Young Link will be in after Toon Link is.

He confirmed Falco when another person said Toon Link, Wolf, and Falco were all playable. Reno said he was correct, therefore confirming Falco. Also, Nya (who is still disputed I know, but with her prediction of Sonic, Olimar's pikmin chain attack, and the delay AND a 35-char roster make her too unlikely to be BS) Nya confirmed Game & Watch. If you don't to believe Nya, look at the Icon Theory, which proves Game and Watch is in anyway.

Now one spot left.... Who? Marth or Roy? This is the disputed part, but based on other 35-leakers, and plain common sense, I'm gonna have to go with Marth.

Lolz. My feelings for this prediction (I won't call it any more than that, 'cause, you know, I'm a skeptic like that) are pretty neutral, but I'm going to hold off on believing it, at least for now. It seems like a pretty believable roster and I won't be surprised if everything you say is true, but I won't be all too surprised if it ends up being bull**** either.

Also, ROB ftl. Gaaaay. His presence alone almost makes me want you to be full of the ****s.

I'm only gonna say this once, sakurai has yet to reveal any sort of pictures regardless of their position(this means stickers, trophies, screenshots etc') of any characters, new or old, before their confirmation on the DOJO, and yet "Toon link" was shown as a trophy, and ROB was shown as a trophy launcher prize, R.O.B(in case you'll say you meant him) is an SSE enemy.

now if you say that this doesn't deconfirm them, and use bowser Jr. and Krystal's appearances as stickers on wii.com, then I can still say both ROB and R.O.B's trophies are obtainable by normal means(trophy launcher, trophy stand) while in SSBM and SSB all playable character trophies were only obtainable via mode completion.

and thus you sir, are DEBUNKED in my eyes. ITP out!

Ganondorf was revealed as a trophy before Melee came out, we saw his trophy, but not how to obtain it. Basically, WW Link COULD still be in it, but we know where ROB 64's trophy is obtained, meaning he WON'T be playable.

If ROB is playable, then it's another ROB.

Rob cant be both playable and an enemy on SSE, since u can make rob into a trophy with the trophy stand, it will conflict with the trophy u would get when u clear classic mode, so GTFO...

If this was just one person claiming this was the roster, there'd be some logic to that stance. But seven of them, most of whom are completely independent of each other, with three of them standing to lose quite a lot if they're proven wrong, and at least two of them having made a number of claims months ago that have since been proven completely accurate? Thats either the most elaborate fake the internet has ever seen, or the real deal.

=/ Yea, but Gannondorf's, as well as all the other PC's trophies, had the first one as their basic, original game thing, then beating adventure mode gives you an action trophy from smash bros, and then All-Star gave you a secondary Smash trophy.

=\ I don't think it likely that they'd have Pajama WW Link as a trophy...its not necessarily a deconfirmation...

You seem to misunderstand the meaning of the words "confirmed" and "proof".

You can't say anything is confirmed without it ACTUALLY being confirmed, meaning that the information is from a source that we know has a hand in the production of the game. That means NOT someone who claims they work for Nintendo or have a friend who does without any evidence to back that up, and not even someone who has previously given information on games before it has been announced. No matter how reliable they are, they cannot confirm anything because it is possible that they are wrong. Unless of course they have proof. Which brings me on to my next point.

Proof means screenshots, videos, etc. of parts of the game that could not be faked. These days this is very difficult to come by, considering how many people are adept with Photoshop and Flash. One theory / supposed "leak" matching up with another theory / "leak" is nothing like constituting evidence. The icon theory, while interesting, is not confirmed by a long shot, and it even has quite a few holes in it.

Basically no matter how likely a theory or "leak" may seem it is not confirmed until it is ACTUALLY confirmed by someone representing Sakurai or Nintendo. Also, you seem to have attempted to make this all seem much more likely than it actually is by jumping to conclusions a lot. The fact that you basically said "you are all idiots" when making this thread really emphasises how badly you have really thought this through. The reason people don't agree with you is because you missed a lot of obvious points, not the other way around

there is no way ROB is in, its not that i dont like it (i dont), but its just common sense. Why would they put in ROB when they could have put in someone much much better. like Geno, Ridley, Krystal. And Roy? unlikely.

Furthermore your list conflicts with what Sakurai has said. Sakurai has said he wanted more villans and more female characters. How many new female characters does your list have? none. What about your list of villains? none. Wolf is more of an antihero than a villain if you are familiar with the series. I dont like if you are lying or not, but if you arent i can tell you that your source is a liar, he fed you the 2chan roster. I mean come on, use your common sense.

You talk about this bull that "we dont accept it because we dont like it"; truth be told we dont accept it because that is a very unlikely roster, its not like we were surprised when luigi was an unlock-able, G-dorf, falco or Y-Link. There was only one WTF character, and Game and Watch wasnt even much of a WTF character, he made some sense. Afterall he IS iconized as the grandfather of gaming, ROB is(are) nothing!
