I was fooling around with the Stage Builder in Smash Brothers Wii U when I stumbled upon a way to make any fighter squeeze through gaps that they realistically shouldn't be able to. This had some really bizarre effects regarding their collision physics.

Here's a snapshot of this glitch being activated:

And this is what happened next:

Basically, Mario can't stand on either side of the wedge interior since the slope is greater than 45 degrees tall. So he falls straight through the tiny hole at the bottom of the wedge and is forced to clip into the platform with magma. This glitch will surely come in handy to anyone planning to make Smash U screenshots or machinima videos, however bear in mind that there are a few limitations to this glitch.
The top platform doesn't need to be coated with magma, but you must avoid coating the underside of that platform with magma at all costs, otherwise it will damage the fighter that phases through it.
While most fighters will only need to walk into the platform to phase through it, a few fighters will need to use other means to get under there. For example, ROB has to aim a forward smash away from his destination, and some characters have to crawl under.
If the gap between the top platform and the bottom platform becomes too narrow, the fighter won't be able to walk across it.
Beyond that, however, this is an incredibly versatile glitch that can suit a variety of conditions. Here's a map I made to showcase some variations on Phasers. All eight Phasers below work perfectly, although some are too deep for smaller fighters.

I'd like to know if there's any other glitches you discovered within the Stage Builder. Post them below, or make some screenshots of your own using the technique I've taught you.

I've encountered something similar. While trying to make Hyrule Castle from SSB64, I decided to make the roof of the left tower out of a different material than the rest of the castle, so that it looks more like the original stage. I don't have any pictures of it, but if you grabbed the ledge or walked close enough to teeter on the ledge, then when you walked back toward center screen you would walked into the ground.

I've created a round cavern, in which you can survive at max %, but you constantly get smashed through solid walls. Yay physics. But I think this could happen with stages built in Brawl, too.

Found something like that myself. I made a Tetris stage, where I used the grid to put two blocks right next to each other. Basically, it was a wall with two adjoining color blocks, and an infinitessimal crack players could slip through. Wasn't easy, but it happened more times than I would have liked. However, Players could easily walk out. Didn't really try any camping there, but I decided to keep the stage since it wasn't a huge issue.

I think that happened to me in Brawl as well, but I made a box stage.

Also I love Ludwig's face in that picture
