While the window of opportunity for my favorite Psychic/Fairy Pokemon Gardevoir might well have passed, the Galar region introduced a darker take on the type combination. A "tall", somewhat humanoid, feminine being with emphatic powers... who will beat you within an inch of your life for strong emotional displays.

THE SILENT POKEMON: HATTERENE

PHYSIOLOGY AND ABILITIES
Hatterene appears to be a tall shapely woman with long hair and a conical hat but that's a deception. taking things a step further than Bayonetta, not only is she completely covered in her own hair, most of her apparent body IS her hair with the actual Hatterene inside being barely a foot tall. Hatterene has full control of her hair allowing her to use it as a method of locomotion and through the long claw on the top of her hat, attack. Combined with

GAMEPLAY IDEAS
Hatterene would be a tall character by default but could play into the fact she's actually tiny by having a very low profile when crouching.

you know shes not my favourite gen 8 pokemon but i could get on board with her in smash, itd be different. gen 8 had many great pokemon and id love for smash to have one of the more unusual pokemon be playable, so why not put me down as a supporter if you wouldnt mind

Well the recent reveal has shown us that characters that debuted on Switch are fair game for this pass (Byleth is too but technically came out on phones first.)

Well there's a character announcement tomorrow.

Everyone's thinking it's a Gen 8 Pokemon so wouldn't it be nice if it wasn't a final form starter again?

We got multiple Ninjas and many, MANY swordsmen. Smash can handle two hair-witches.

Well there's a 40 minute Nintendo Direct tomorrow and chances are good that it's gonna have something pertaining to the final DLC pass.

It'll be very strange to see Smash Speculation come to an end but we had a good trip and maybe in doing these threads, got someone to look into a character they might have previously passed over.

There's every chance it could be a Generation 8 Pokemon so let's see if it's a Starter again or if they'll have Baynetta tangle with another hair-witch.
