Hey I'm surprised there were tournaments, let alone kept items.Yeah, I've heard of it. Though it does share similarities with Smash, I'm having doubts on it being the origin of Smash. Some people believe that people on The Outfoxies later worked on Super Smash Bros. but I find that totally wrong: I've painstakingly studied the credits of both games and I couldn't find a single person listed in both games. And then there's Dragon King: The Fighting Game. I'm still not sure if Smash was truly inspired by Outfoxies.
Still want to try the game though.
The tournament part is surprising but not the items part. It was a 1995 arcade game so there wasn't much room for customization. Plus if it had no items you'd only have one attack: punchHey I'm surprised there were tournaments, let alone kept items.
