Summer sucks and when I have nothing to do, I usually just sit there and think. With my obsession with smash, I usually think about... well, smash. So as I was thinking, I thought "What if we had a HUGE ssb64 guide with everything about ssb64". This can include character guides, advance techs, online set up, etc. etc.

I know I'm probably going to hear "Well we don't need an ssb64 guide because it's not active enough."

I'm sure by the time ssb64 comes out on Virtual Console, we will have random people coming in here looking for advice.

Things we could put into the guide (I'm open for more stuff) :

  • Guides to all 12 characters
  • Advance Techniques (Maybe we can use wenbobulars if he lets us :)
  • Guide to play ssb64 online
  • Tier list, Tournament set up, that kind of stuff
  • Frame data (Maybe. Depends if Ant-d is nice enough and if we really feel that it's necessary)

So... What do you guys think?

I would definitely like to help with this. It's a great idea, since reading through pages and pages of forum posts and finding obscure pages through google to get info on SBB64 was not really much fun for me. Having all the information centralized in a handy, easily-updatable guide would be awesome, even now.

That, and most things posted about don't have accompanying videos, as they well should for demonstration.

I would love to help out.

I could try to translate CaptainJack's Luigi guide.
Or somebody better could write one...
Captain jack plays ssb64? He wrote an ssb64 guide? Can I ask where it's located?

If you wouldn't mind translating, it would be nice to use but since I don't know Captain Jack personally, I wouldn't want to just "steal" his guide but looking off it for some advice would be good!

Glad to know someone is willing to help out :)

Haha, use my topic, by all means. Just give me credit :lick:
Ant-d posted quite a bit of frame data somewhere...if we can find it.
I wouldn't mind writing something up for characters, I need something to do with my time.

Check out my Fox guide that I posted this afternoon...I'd love some feedback, haha.
Still working on it, but I have a decent chunk of stuff so far.

Yeah my comp went BOOM!(actually, just crashed and I had to reformat) like a week after I started working on the Mario guide and I kinda forgot about this. I should start working on it again ;_;
