I didn't see an official one yet so I made one. All right, so now we can make our own stages, right? Well how far can we really take it?

This picture shows us some of the things we can do with the stage. The reason I say some is that we have been shown more platforms and traps in other screenshots.

See that platform on the top-right corner? That is the barrrier that protects you in Norfair when the lava comes down on you. I don't see that in the other screen shot, do you?. Not to mention the fact that the color scheme changes in every screenshot. What I'm getting at is what else can we do besides what they showed us? If the lava protection platform is in then can we make lava flow on the stage? What about water? Now that swimming is confirmed will it be possible to make a all water level? And what about the online aspect of this?

When you chose the background in the begining you can choose between 3 Creation Sets:
Sky, Ruins and Technic.

Each set has his own Structures (like the barrrier, which seens only for the Technic Set) and there own style of floors. The Spikes are not on the picture because you can scroll down the list on the right side.

But the list on the right side has 3 Layers! Look at the Design under the "[z] All" Button. There are more Elements for the Stage Builder.

Actually the spikes are on the list, which is why I chose the platform from Norfair. There might be room for two more platforms if you scroll down, but there are most likely going to be more than that.

I'm unsure if this is the place, but it says official, so let's do it.

yes, creating will be some fun and all, but
something that concerns me, is how are we going to select and/or download stages.
let me explain this more deeply:

as I have already stated before, megaman powered up has almost the same features on the level editor, submiting and sharing included.
The game itselfs has a bad point on it's connection, so downloading stages is a painful time. this , for sure, wont be a problem with the wii right?
the second main problem with MM PU, is that the downloaded stages are not exactly included in the normal play line. I mean, if you want to play custom stages, you have to go to another menu, not game start neither continue.

if you all really want to do loads of stages, do you think the stage select screen will have enough room for all those custom stages? it will be user friendly and easy to acces, or it will be painful and hateful like some other ?! ( mm: Poweredup and LocoRoco)

 maybe is only my bad luck, and bad experiencies; but I hope selecting custom stages to be as easy as to select delfino plaza
---------------------------------------------------

also, notice the interface, where the Z button is : it displays the menu for the available stuff to place there, and since it has a scroll bar, and some tabs, it's obvious that the amount and variety of things you can place, is still huge; even, maybe it can allow for some special downloads, like special holiday pieces or themes ( haloween, christmas, maybe special advertising for some games) again, these are not my ideas, is just some of the features I've seen on other editors.

---------------------------

maybe off topic, but, the animation for falling onto the spikes has not been shown, right? what do you think it will be?
it will only be the standard meteoric smash, or it will be a new, humilliating animation of the character screaming in pain as his rear part gets pinched?
I pray for the second choice, wich seems not unlikely ( I mean, they all swim, they all climb stairs , and for god's sake, Bowser dances!!! )

There should be themes from each "default" stage. I really would like to create a city level like New Pork.

like i was saying in hiroshis thread... there should be stage building contests where players submit stages to smash boards and the back room members select the best stages that they feel would be tournament legal to be used officially as a tournament stage throughout the community.

the three layers are probably seperating the floors structures and features.

Whcihc would be very disappointing becasue it doesnt look like theres enough and it'd be better if those tabs led to more platforms and such....

Also, does the ability to change pallettes mean you can change all of the structures colors mabye????? somenone explain what a pallette is to me!?!?

I actually saw another thread in the Dojo updates section after I made this, so it might end up getting closed. Now to your questios. These stages will probably be in a different section from the normal ones, but we haven't seen the final stage select screen, so perhaps, if they used multiple pages, they could donate one to custom ones. I don't know if they are planning on making downloadble content, but if they did, stage parts would be awesome. I would say perhaps you buy them with coins, but they sdaid you can't actually spend your money. Lastly, I don't see why they shouldn't, but at the same time, I don't see it happening.
