The Official Din Support Thread

Don't know bout yall, but Brawl needs a kick @$$ playable female in da mix (other than Zelda, Samus, and Peach). She needs to be new, agile, and can battle with the best of em! I prepose we let one of The Legend of Zelda's Triforce Deities have a crack at this. Din is the perfect choice for all that's required.

If ya don't remember what she looks like, heres an Oracle of Season's pic of her.

And I'll probably have a moveset for her a bit later, once my imagination runs wild.

Meanwhile, discuss! Din....yay or nay?

The Zelda series doesn't really have that many recognizable characters, so I guess she's as good as other supporting character suggestions like Zant, Midna, Skull Kid, Ralph and the like. She's not really one I'd really support or expect to see, but I'm not against her either.

That's what they did to Mewtwo in Melee. He is, in my eyes anyway, still is divinity, but in Melee, he got his mess toned down! I mean c'mon, in da pokemon games, there is no way in hell that Pikachu and Jigglypuff and even Pichu can defeat Mewtwo, but for some reason or another they can do it effortlessly on Melee.

So, they can do da same with Din, or not. I really hope they don't. Make here top tier, but don't make her unstoppable.

I doubt they would add one goddess withought the others. It's like with starter pokemon not getting in withought all three of them (which has basically been confirmed thanks to the trainer). She would be a great fighter though. I can picture her with dance like physical attacks and fire based special moves.

You know I just noticed the huge rings Din has around her arms. Wouldn't it be awesome if she could use those similar to how Axel from Kingdom hearts uses his weapons?

Din would never get in as a playable character without her other Goddess counterparts. I see her more as an AT along with her sisters(?) to be honest. Besides there are other Zelda characters wanted more than Her, like WW Link, Midna.

Axel uses chakram...You can't use large, flat blunt rings as chakram...

I'm not sure if Axel uses them right because I haven't played that game in a long time but chakram is more flung, then thrown and anyway it wouldn't be similar just because it would be thrown for that fact it would serve a completely different purpose then the chakram

I don't think they'd include her without the other ones... There's three right? I'm not sure... But I don't think she'll get in cause she doesn't seem that important to her franchise

XD. I certainly remember her.

She wasn't ever a fighter, so I doubt we'd see her. If they reall wanted a rep from OoS, they'd use Maple, but I think she would be better as an AT.

But I'm guessing we'll see Din back in Subspace, partically for a "Who you gonna save?" (wow, that sounds like the ghostbusters...) choice for Link, and if it concerned Nayru, Ralph too.
