The Official Battletoads Support Thread

I can't believe absolutely no one came with this idea for a character. They're popular. They've appeared in NES and SNES games. Their games were great and insanely difficult. And they look like teenage mutant badass toads. They're only fault: they're owned by Rare. But they're totally dead! It's so old-school now!

Well Battletoads featured Rash (the short one with glasses), Pimple (The Big one) and Zitz (the clever-ninjaesque one). They're all suitable for a lot of Smash play, it's like they were meant for a game like this. I can't understand yet why they eren't put in any other game since 1993.

Battletoads are near the top of desired characters (along with slippy and Frog from Chrono trigger. I guess I like amphibians).

They have perfect smash hits already built in (the attacks where their fists or feet get really big would be perfect). And overall, they would be incredibly cool.

Really, I think that the reason that the franchise died was the hovercycle parts. In many hours by many people, I can only think of two instances where anybody I know passed them. It's too bad, cause the games were really fun.

While I think they're unlikely, battletoads would definitely rock.

I'm going to say no to this idea because there are other 3rd party characters I want in over them and there are only going to be one or two more.

The Battletoads would definitely work well in Smash, and I love the games (especially "Battletoads & Doubledragon" for Snes). But I don't think there is much hope for one making the cut. And which one would you pick anyway? It wouldn't be fair to just pick one. I suppose it could be one character combining all three using costume and name changes.

It would be fair since in one of the battletoads you couldn't play as Zitz, so I would choose Rash since his the "cool" one of the gang, and if it could feature one more, it would be Pimple obviously. But Rash has the best name so I'll go for him. It would be fair to have both of them though...................

That brings back the memories.... and anger too. I never did beat their first game on the NES. Super hard. But still I think they would be cool characters. All three could be in their, just as costumes as another character.

Pimple is the coolest one. I always used to play as Pimple in Battletoads & Doubledragon. I like them all, but it would be unfair to just include one of them. I liked SYC! idea about including them as one character with costume and name changes. The only thing I dislike about this idea is that since Pimple is strong and dumb, Rash is crazy and fast and Zitz is smart and cunning, I think that the movesets should be affected by this.

OOOOOOOOH Now this does cause me to have flashbacks. These guys would be awesome in Smash Bros but as already pointed out they are Rare's property.... why did they just vanish from the world of gaming anyway? Ah well, we can possibly dream about them being in Smash Bros.

As much as I want to give every character a chance to be in Brawl, I HIGHLY doubt we'll be seeing the Battletoads in the new Smash Bros. Sorry bud...

Wow dude...I couldn't agree more...any of the three Battletoads would be an awesome addition to the Brawl roster. I'm trying to spread the idea of having Bill Rizer (the guy from Contra) in Brawl...I hadn't even considered the Battletoads. Great idea.
