This is "The Offical Gooey Thread."
For those who don't know who Gooey is... His Debut is in Kirby's Dream Land 2. He is also a playable character in Kirby's Dream Land 3, and is going to be a playable character on the upcoming kirby game for Wii. He is also a trophy in melee if you want a good view of him. Here is a picture of him...

aren't there 8 threads on gooey already, good character, but i am torn between him and rick the hamster

well i own a russian dwarf hamster and they are the cutest animals ever. plus hamsters pwn unquestionably, although good blobs aren't that bad either

btw anyone know where to get the kirby dreamland 3 rom?

he has a good AT chance, but i seriously doubt him being playable. think of it this way, him or dedede, when he wasn't on sakurai's poll and dedede was in first place.

Wherever you might be able to find that ROM, use ZSNES version 1.42 to emulate it. The later versions take out the hack that fixes some sprite layering problems caused by imperfect emulation of the SA-1 chip. The game is amazing, though. Still sells for $50 at my local used game store.

As for Gooey, we all love him, but we understand that every Nintendo character can't make it into Brawl. Plenty of Kirby characters should take precendence. As a Kirby costume, however, he has potential, if only for the sheer ease of implementation.

i think a gooey alternate costume would be good although it would be incredibly difficult, he would work easier as a sudo-clone

Moveset for gooey (I dont have a wii so i'm giving gc controlls cause when i play the game i'm gonna use a gc controller)

b-Lick (Simmalar to kirbies swallow)
b up- Float (Float for a limited amout of time without going POOF, POOF, POOF like kirby)
b down- Brick (Simalar to Kirbies)
B </>- Toung Slap (Slaps Enemies with toung)
a- Headbut
aa- Headbut, Headbut
aaa- Headbut, Headbut, Slap with toung
a down- kick downward
a up- Kickupward
a >/<- kick left or right
z- Grab
z up- Toss Up
z down- Toss at Ground
z >/<- Toss left or right

I Would Say they are like mario/luigi not clones but simalar...
