The character that can never make it. Sure she has been on Nintendo consoles like Gamecube, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, and Wii but she never really got very popular. Plus she is a third party from sega... so Sonic is probably gonna get priority. But she is better than Sonic for a game like this! SHE IS ARLE NADJA FROM PUYO PUYO!

old look

new look

For those of you who do not know, Puyo pop is a competitive puzzle game were you connect a link of 4 colored blocks together to make them pop and disappear. Getting one of this connections of 4 pieces to link into another connection of 4 gets you even more of a reward. This then drops trash blocks on the opponents side. When the blocks reach the top, that person loses.

The Puyo Pop series doesn't get too much attention stateside, aside from its following in the DS world but its been pretty big in Japan and has a decent following for decades. I feel she can bring a unique moveset to brawl which is something I think most of the other sega characters suggested cannot do.
If she appears she would have her pet, Carbuncle, helping her defeat opponents.
He cannot be attacked and he pretty much stays in the background. He will take up all of your B moves, with the exception of your Up+B.

Moveset:
She is a mid-falling speed character
Somewhat light
Her jump is around the of Link's (same as her short hop)
Running speed is comparable to Link as well

A: Perform a two punch combo. During the first her fists fill with fire and during the second punch her fists get covered in ice.
Up-Tilt: Lifts up on of her hands and a flame is released from it. Similar to Metwo's upsmash but with a lot less lag and cannot be charged, much less knock back too.
Forward-Tilt: Similar to Zelda's F-tilt but with less lag, sparkles are replaced by electricity.
Down-tilt: Similar to Peach's down tilt but sets the opponent on fire if it sweet spots.

Smashes:
Upsmash: Thunder Charge: Poses with one hand in the air extending a finger upwards then lightning appears around her protecting her whole body from low priority attacks and causing electric status on a hit opponent. Knockback is similar to Peach's upsmash when not sweetspotted.
F-smash: Ice Storm: She launches a light shard of icicles from her hand. Has about half the range of the ice climbers forward+B move. Has a sweetspot at its base. Sweetspot has knockback comparable to Samus's F-smash but when not sweetspotted it sends them forward only a bit.
Down-smash: Fire Stomp: Stomps her foot on the ground and causes a burst of fire in front of her. Much like samus' down-tilt. But gives KOable knockback.

Aerials:
Neutral: A lot like Zelda's N-air but has fire, lightning and ice floating around her, it has much more priority as well. The attack has too sweet spots, one in the center of her and the other on the furthers tips of her circle of elements. If it doesn't sweetspot it gives fire status. The center sweetspot freezes, and the further sweetspots give electric status.
Forward-air: Sheik's fair in appearance. Though her hand is engulfed in fire and gives fire status on hit. The knockback is nowhere near as powerful as Sheik's.
Down-air: Lightning Strike: A lightning meteor. Similar to Zelda's dair, though it has more priority and a bit more range.
Up-air: Holds an ice ball above her head, it quickly pops, causing the opponent to freeze if it sweet spots, or causes a bit of knockback.

Grab/Throws
Standing Grab: Decent range, nothing special. Looks like shiek's standing grab.
Running grab: Like Peach's running grab.
Down Throw: Throws them onto the ground and hits them with fire, similar in appearance to zelda's downthrow. Though it pushes them up higher after the attack is complete.
Forward Throw: Throw them forward with a lightning strike. The knockback is comparable to Falco's forward throw but put electric status on them.
Back Throw: Tosses the opponent back with a fire blast with great force, is a KO move around 100% for most characters, puts fire status on the opponent
Up Throw: Holds the opponent up and freezes them pushing them up with the normal freeze knockback.

B moves:
Up+B (on ground): Pulls out a random color puyo block (all colors have exact same effect). She can throw it at her opponent but it doesn't do damage nor does it disappear. She can have 9 out at once, if there is already 9 out than she has to throw some off the edge before she can use another. Others can throw them off the edge too so look out. They can be destroyed if they fall off the edge or if they are piled together. If you have 4 of the same color touching each other than BOOM! It doesn't knock you back but it will give quite some knockback on your opponent. Chained explosions are even bigger so look out.
Up+B (in air): Pulls out a random color Puyo block and throw it down. It quickly explodes sending her upwards while covered in light fire around her. If there are already nine Puyos out... it cannot be performed.
---
Carbuncle related B moves...
B: Calls Carbuncle to you! Or tells him to stop. It toggles this following on and off.
Forward B: Carbuncle throws a trash block in direction that you were pressing. If you press right, he tosses it right, press left he toss it left. It has a knockback similar to Ganondorf's forward tilt. He then falls asleep for about half the length of Jigglypuff's rest.
Down B: Carbuncle jumps up and throws a trash block downwards, it hits the ground and bounces up and it goes up until it leaves the screen. On its way up it gives knockback similar to that of Falco's upair. But if it hits on the throw down it gives almost double that. He then falls asleep for about half the length of Jigglypuff's rest.

:) Its not happening but god I would be happy.

I was about to say that myself. So was this the original character for this puzzle franchise? Because if this is the game I'm remembering, it's the same puzzle type as Kirby's Avalanche for SNES and that Mean Bean Machine game for Genesis, yes? Or am I remembering wrong?

Maybe when Super Smash Bros 4: Nintendo Vs SEGA comes out she will have a higher chance of making it <3

You are correct! It is sad she didn't really make it to America until the release of Fever. I would personally like a form somewhere in between the old and new so she is recognizable by all.

Japanese game makers should just stop removing all their unique characters from games just because some market analyst thinks they would sell better. Personally, I think KA and MBM were kinda...hokey. Aside from franchise specific characters thrown in, it didn't feel anything like either franchise.

Besides...cute mascots are awesome. I hope they release a version of this game for the Wii.......even though right now I suck at it pretty hard.

I think there is already a wii version out in japan. I am not sure if it is still using a engine similar to fever or a more old school one. Personally I would be hoping for the Fever gameplay to continue though I would like the style to change back to the old Puyo Puyo games.
