The 'no unlockables updated on the dojo' argument may have been owned ages ago.

Many people say that Sakurai is anti updating unlockable things on the dojo. But that assumes somethng that is most likley not true:

Battlefield is a starter stage? I think not.

If he was only updating starting characters, why wouldn't he do the same for stages?

Actually, Battlefield could be a starter stage. It's stage from melee, therefore it is old.

This is brawl, so battlefield could already be pre-unlocked. but who knows.

he may be showing unlockable stages. I have no idea why.

Not that it matters. Also Snake and Sonic will be unlockables (Sakurai has said 3rd parties will be unlockable) but they've been shown on the dojo.

I actually think Battlefield will be a starting stage. It was playable in the demo so i'm guessing it will be a starting stage. There is no way to know until the game comes out.

That theory was owned a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago. You should have come to this realization, at latest, when he updated 3 Kirby series characters. I'm sure all 3 won't be available from the start, let alone Meta-Knight.

Meta knight will most likely be a starter because he was playable at E4all. Why couldn't battle field be a stater stage, it's a simple stage to use and Sakurai has been emphisizing on getting new players for smash bros.

Battlefield as a starting stage seems completely plausible to me. After all, it was the first stage profiled on the Dojo and has been used countless times in screenshots. Sakurai said it himself...he knows we're going to be playing many, many matches there so why lock it up?

I'm pretty sure Meta Knight will be a starter because he was the first newcomer we saw. Dedede is most likely unlockable, because it is unlikely that we will get three Kirby starters with Sakurai being modest and all.

Sakurai has already revealed some characters that are nearly confirmed as unlockables ( Sonic and Snake), and I think he will reveal a few more unlockables, but not all of them.

3rd parties are exceptions -- any idiot who sees SEGA on the cover will almost instantly know Sonic's in the game. Same could be said with Capcom's Megaman. Plus, it's good marketing to show off your highly hyped 3rd party characters before release, whether they're unlockable or not.

And, Dedede will probably be a starter. It's really not a farfetched idea. He's popular; he's cute. I see no reason not to.

There isn't a reason not to, I mean Mario, Peach and Bowser were all starters, but then again he did nerf Kirby badly out of modesty, so 3 starters from his own series isn't guaranteed.

Yeah, this was owned when Sonic and Snake was announced. Third-party characters most likely will not be starters.
