Gerudo Warrior
Smash Master
Hey guys look whose back
So I have searched and I know that there is already a thread but the move set that he had and explanation of bonk was not very accurate to the games. So before we get into why he deserves and spot and a quick background check to who he is
Name: west- Bonk, East - genjin and the first 2 letters of the console e.g. gcn = GC genjin
Company - Hudson - the makers of bomber man, Mario party and that cyborg game that shall remain nameless
First game - Bonk's adventure (tg-16)
First on Nintendo console - bonks adventure (port to the Nes)
Who is bonk? Bonk is caveman. The games are set around 10000 B.C. the story line is in most games that princess Za has been captured by king drool and bonk has to save her. In bonk's adventure their are the 5 heroes all tiring to save za. However they are captured and brainwashed and then are the bosses at the end of the stages.
Bonk is portrayed differently among regions in the east he is a care free lovable cave man in the west he is more down the point, more angry and tougher
Now first things first. Hudson makes bomber man the better known choice why does he get a spot of him?
well bonk is more smash material.
So bonk over the third party characters so we have ruled out bomber man so Geno (the currently no.1 pick)
When it comes down to it can you see geno in brawl fighting dedede? But that remains to be seen so later on his move set might convince you
So the move set. So sonic's move set is based around sonic 2 moves supper spin dash attack and jumping on a spring. So I thought why not base bonks move set around bonk's adventure. I am working on the damage and knock back currently
I will time these moves in a youtube video for you
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMyu8faAths
Climbing on walls - if bonk can get close to a ledge he can bite his way up it (2:00 - 2:02)
Jump - standard jump seen throughout video
Double jump - jump and he spins once in the air propelling him up
a -a head bonk can be built up to consecutive head bonks
b - The standard charge up head bonk (1:01 only you charge up)
Up b - bonk jumps in the air and starts spinning hold 'B' you can control where he moves. if someone comes in contact they are damaged (0:27 - O: 30 but when the turbo switch was on he would spin rapidly) (the turbo switch was on the tg - 16 controllers) when it is released bonk will come head first down and damage only the enemy directly below (0:39) he has a few second delay in getting back to his feet
Down b - taking suggesting
> b - bonk runs forward with his head down like a bull (taking different suggestions)
super smash - bonk eats a big meat and becomes invincible (1:26) bonk in invincible all the effects he gets are shown in video, when he slams the ground everyone is turned to stone and stunned for a number of seconds
game music - world 1 - 1 the music isn't as good as sonic 2 and 3 but it still holds it's own
