Something I've noticed in the reactions of some to my thread/blog posts/etc. is that they tend to focus overly on the vocal aspect of MetamindgameSpam and pay less attention to the nonvocal aspects of it.
Here's the thing. Being a MetamindgameSpammer is like being a Jedi. Sure, the Jedi has this cool lightsaber slashy thing, but he'll totally behead himself without also learning the Force as well as Form Zero.
For those of you who aren't Starwars Nerds (I'm not, I just played KOTOR 2 and now I know everything), there are multiple forms of lightsaber combat, each with a different emphasis. Before learning any of them, one must learn Form One, which is the basics.
Before Form One, one must learn Form Zero, which focuses not on hitting things with the lightsaber, but rather on when it is necessary to use the lightsaber or not.
Just because MetamindgameSpam in its most dynamic and exciting form tends to feature lots of talking doesn't mean that you should ignore the basics, and the foundations of the basics.
This is hard to do, but one way to get back to the core of MMGS would be to try to MMGS for an entire match without saying a word.
And here's the thing: If your opponent realizes that they have been MetamindgameSpammed WITHOUT you saying anything, then you know how powerful your MMGSing really is.
Oh, and if you spend half the match talking, then suddenly lapse into silence, that's also a pretty good Metamindgame.
