As we all know, Brawl has a new adventure mode called Subspace Emissary.

This Subspace emissary has a Subspace Army led by this guy:

As of now he is only known as 'The Minister'

I wonder exactly what part he will play in the new game. Will he replace Master/Crazy Hand? Could he possible be an unlockable (if he is suitable for that)? Also, I wonder if the stadium will be available to battle on. Will certain single player stages be limited to single player mode only? Certain stages like the yoshi battle in the first level of Melee would've been fun to play on.

To be honest, if this became the new Final Destination that woud be awesome.

What do you guys think?

Nah. Master Foot will be replacing Master Hand, I figure...

But seriously, I doubt classic mode will have any huge changes, if the hands aren't back, I will be completely surprised.

Master Foot. Ha ha, now that would be interesting. What if the hands turned out to be the Ministers hands. He could float around in the background and use them to attack you. Btw, is it just me, or does the Minister remind you of a Heartless from Kingdom Hearts?

What if he's a Master Hand trophy, turning others into Trophies as an act of revenge due to his condition? It could work... the floating part could be the base of the trophy and the cloak could all just be covering the trophy part.

I like that idea. Revenge sounds good enough for me. You, know I wonder how much voice acting will be integrated into this game, besides grunts and cries, condering over half of these characters never talk.

Hey, what about Master...nope can't say that. There are children afoot.

I don't think there really will be any, with the exception of some taunts. From the videos that have been released (which are the cutscenes from SE, I believe), there are no voices and no awkward images of mouthed speech (to signify that dialogue may have been cut from the released videos). I'm not really expecting SE to be much more than Adventure Mode from Melee with some pretty cinematics (definitely not a complaint), though, so voice acting just doesn't seem suitable to me.

Most likely.

Highly doubt it.

Agreed.

I don't really get Master Hand, I'd prefer some other enemy

The Hand represents the player. because Smash is a fake world where trophies fight. so the trophies come alive. In the SSB64 opening dont you see a hand playing with the trophies in the begining? I cant remember and I dont feel like whippin the old N64 out to check. a link to the video would be nice :D sorry for bad explination

R.M.B. were else?
the minister will be a boss, nothing more.
master hand+crazy hand will most likely be in, but I doubt a foot.
I think that the new stadium will replace the final destination, but it will only be a look change, nothing more so dont worry about gameplay chages in that area.

the master hand reoresents the one imagineing this whole world, or in other words, the "god" of thier world. he is the one to give the trophies life or in the case of the first game, the dolls.

Master Hand will be replaced by Master Knee.

Hardest boss ever.

On topic, I think the Minister will have a big part in SSE, but will not be the final boss, a boss, nothing more.

Agreed, Yaya. Some other character is probably going to come out of nowhere at the end, in traditional RPG fashion, and present him or herself as the true mastermind.

There was question as to whether or not single-player stages will only be playable in single-player? That's a definite yes. Take a look at some of the videos of SSE gameplay - do those scrolling stages look like ones that'd be playable in vs mode? No. It'd be like having the Hyrule Underground adventure mode level playable in melee...

I was referring to stages such as the one that Kirby fights Petey Pirahna on in the gameplay vids. We're not that stupid.

Master knee... even greater than the foot. Unstoppable.

But yeah, seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if there was something behind the Minister, even the hands, it wouldn't surprise me in the least. They had no role in classic player adventure mode, so who knows what will happen in SSE.

Either way, I figure the ending will be surprising and unexpected, not just fight your way to the minister and defeat him, then it's over. I suspect some serious plot twists, especially with the odd character combinations we are seeing in updates.

I have no clue
Who was really expecting Bowser to just instantly come back as some huge, insanely powerful guy in Melee? That scared the crap outta me when I first fought him, as big as he was. So SSE will probably have a great WTF moment at the end.

This is the sort of things that are best discussed in the Subspace topic.
