So I've been replaying Twilight Princess and came across a rather interesting and important quote from Rusl to Link prior to heading off to the Temple of time:

The ancestors of the Hylians created the temple... Signs of their civilization--ancient, but very sophisticated--are everywhere. If someone could obtain the power of those ancient people... Well, I am sure it would go a long way toward saving Hyrule.
And as he's saying this, I see he and Link standing side by side, looking towards the remains of the Great Deku Tree. Such a beautiful moment in the game; Link and his fatherly figure standing amid the remains of the guardian who raised Link, the Hero of Time a century past, speaking about the origins of the Hylians and the Temple of Time - which above all other locations, ties this Link to his ancestor.

Discuss important quotes found throughout the games.

As soon as I saw the thread's title, I immediately thought of one line. It's from OoT, and it's stuck with me in my head since the first time I saw it, about a decade ago.

Great Deku Tree said:
In the vast, deep forest of Hyrule... Long I have I served as the guardian spirit... I am known as the Deku Tree... The children of the forest, the Kokiri, live here with me. Each Kokiri has his or her own guardian fairy. However, thine is one boy who does not have a fairy…
It's the first line of the game, and for me it was a wake-up moment. I'd only played Game Boy and Genesis games before that, and nothing remotely deep except Link's Awakening. Most of what I'd played was Sonic games or things based on movies. But in seeing this line, in that text box on a black background, I realized that I was in for something completely different in gaming. I do however havea fondness for mixing it up with the opening lines of MM.

In the land of Hyrule, there echoes a legend. A legend held dearly by the Royal Family tells of a boy... A boy who, after battling evil and saving Hyrule, crept away from the land that made him a legend... Done with the battles he once waged across time, he embarked on a journey. A secret and personal journey... A journey in search of a beloved and invaluable friend... A friend with whom he parted ways when he finally fulfilled his heroic destiny and took his place among legends...
I always end up with "In the vast deep forests of Hyrule, there echoes a legend."

Nah, I'm just messin with ya guys. I guess the ones that are the most inspiring come from Sheik.

It is something that grows over time... a true friendship. A feeling in the heart that becomes stronger over time... The passion of friendship will soon blossom into a righteous power and through it, you will know which way to go... This song is dedicated to the power of the heart... Listen to the Bolero of Fire...
Sheik said:
Past, present, future... The Master Sword is a ship with which you can sail upstream and downstream through time's river... The port for that ship is in the Temple of Time... To restore the Desert Colossus and enter the Spirit Temple, you must travel back through time's flow... Listen to this Requiem of Spirit... This melody will lead a child back to the desert.
Despite only a few speaking roles, you gotta admit, those few are pretty epic. It actually makes you...think.

I didn't understand very well what Zant was talking about.

Nice Thread Spire. I'll probably find some answers here.

I bet it has something to do with being in limbo. You're neither here, nor there, but stuck in this plane of existence, trapped forever with no purpose, wondering if the light will shine upon you and you can leave.

But alas...you are stuck forever!

I don't believe you.

This is actually an answer to Zelda's story about the whole Ganon thing. I thought it was pretty funny for some reason.

I skipped over important. I do have one in my head I just want to get the script of it first.

edit: Ok, so actually browsing through it I found one that just really spoke out to me as amazing. It's not something you can remember easily but once you see it, but it really shows Ganondorfs jealousy for Hyrule. I guess why he wants it and all.

Ganondorf at the final battle of Wind Waker said:
My country lay within a vast desert. When the sun rose into the sky, a
burning wind punished my lands, searing the world. And when the moon climbed
into the dark of night, a frigid gale pierced our homes. No matter when it
came, the wind carried the same thing... Death. But the winds that blew across
the green fields of Hyrule brought something other than suffering and ruin. I
coveted that wind, I suppose.
Now the one I was talking about --- yeah still kind of long but I do remember it well, maybe mainly because of the music that plays during it.

King of Red Lions before Link goes back to Hyrule in Wind Waker said:
Oh! What is this? There, on your hand- the Triforce piece
now dwells within you! It is the Triforce of Courage- proof that you are
indeed the true hero. You have controlled the wind and crossed the seas, and
here, near the end of your quest, the power of the gods has been bestowed upon
you... Surely from this moment on, you shall be known as the Hero of Winds...
Link! Hero of Winds! Go forth! To Hyrule! To Zelda's side!
It's just epic to be reassured by the King that you are amazing.

I think... I finally understand what my dad meant... when he told me he wanted me to be strong like you, Link. He didn't mean strength as in lifting stuff. He meant strength as in courage.
Ahh...what better than realizing what Courage means...it means much more than physical strength.

What is that Link quote from? I find it very interesting, but I don't recognize it.

It's an option you can pick in Ocarina of Time, when Princess Zelda is in her Sanctuary explaining her dream to you. You can pick an option saying, "I don't believe you".

Haha, Zelda gets mad and says, "Please believe me...my prophecies have never been wrong!"

Oh yes! Last time I played the game, I chose that multiple times to see if I could really stir her up. Completely forgot about it.

Well there we have it, Link can talk. Just think about what would have happened if Link didn't believe her and walked away. No hero = no Legend of Zelda at all. All the rest of the games would never happen and Ganon would rule forever. That's the most important part of the whole series! If it weren't for Zelda's persistence to tell Link her prophecy, all would be screwed. That is "the legend of Zelda"; that is Zelda's legend. She tells Link the legend and hence, he rises as a timeless hero.

Wow.

I'm Back.:bee:

I would be glad if someone could help me wih the Zant's quote.

It instilled a deeper level of thought about the Zelda franchise within my soul.

No, really, this is the most prominent Zelda quote in my mind. I will post a serious one later. Maybe.
I don't remember very well that dude.

Where he is located ?

This is why Majora's Mask scared me.
The Creepy Music which is the theme song of Majora's Mask was the only thing that scared me. I loved to feel that fear.

I absolutely loved Majora's Mask.
