We're a week away from launch in Japan and that means we're almost at an end to PRE-launch updates (obviously there will still be post-launch updates). Does that mean we'll be getting awesomely insane and bewildering updates over the next week? Maybe, maybe not. The Dojo has always kinda given us a gift we've taken too much for granted and I see no reason we HAVE to have "amazing" updates these last few days. However, the developers may decide it'll help the hype if they do, so we just have to sit back, wait, and see.
So here's my question: where is Captain Falcon? I think when the Dojo first started up the feeling was "OK, so Capt. Falcon will be the next character announced... No? OK, now he's next.... No? OK, now he's next..." and here we are and he hasn't been announced yet. I'm not saying he's not in, (I think he is in) what I am saying is that this is odd. Now that Smash is that long of a franchise, but I think most of us would agree that it's odd for someone who was unlockable in one game, then a starter in the next, would continue to be a starter. Now he's unlockable again? I think it's odd he'd not be a starter.
Or what if he is a starter? What if it's not a 21 starter-set, but 22? I know people have given that "leak" video a lot of credit, but there's no way to "know" it's real. What if the great big, final, holy crap Dojo update is that Capt. Falcon is a starter and his moveset has been almost entirely redone (leaving Ganondorf with the one they semi-shared, rather than the other way around) and that's why they saved him so long?
I guess I may just be hoping for something cool to be announced early next week, like officially and not leakily. Plus I've kinda been hoping to see a video of Captain Falcon fighting Snake...
