The Kirby Mario Matchup

I have a decent Kirby and I win most games against one of my friends but he switches to Mario (Who he rarely plays) and he WINS EVERY TIME!!!!! I think the match ups unwinnable he can cape your recovery every time and although most characters can exploit kirbies weakness's Mario is like 10 times better at it and any semi competent Mario can whoop you easy

I do but the mario jumps in and capes it then recovers

As dumb as it sounds, try not to get hit off the ledge.
In all reality, not a whole ton of Mario's Moves can hit you off and when they do try different angles (High, Low, and mix in some jank).

A good Melee Kirby recovery technique is to forward-air repeatedly between jumps. This lets you get a bit more distance.

You can also Dash Attack off a platform into a grab.

In that specific clip, he doesn't actually get the grab but its a neat trick
