Give up already and just accept it. You seek battle. You seek power, isn't that right? Those who seek power...all of them, without exception, seek battle! Do you seek battle in order to obtain power? Do you fight in order to seek power? I don't know about any of that. But I know at least one thing. It seems that we were born to be like this! Born to continue to seek battle!



Battle...You instinctively seek battle! Because there is no other way...to obtain power. Fight. If you want to grab hold of that power, take up your sword and cut down your enemies! There is no other path, both before you and behind you! BATTLE...That instinct that seeks battle...Lies burried within us...within...me...

Someone has been watching to much gundam wing today.

Some people seek self improvement, or maybe the thrill of competition. Fighting (in video games for me anyways) is a way to compete and improve in a fun and relaxing way. If you mean fight to obtain power on a broader scale, well for the US anyways the weapons and economy do that for us, so I'm going to assume you only mean smash brothers.
