Brings me back to the first time I played Melee. It was 7 am - I'd gotten Melee for my bday, but we couldn't play it that night cause we had to go to bed (hahahaha, being a little kid). I didn't have school that day, but my brother did, so we woke up really early to get some time in before he had to go.

Only got to play one match, but I vividly remember it. I was DK, he was Yoshi, and we played on Hyrule temple. He couldn't get over the new egg move, and I was trying to figure out how DK's headbutt worked. XD

My first experience with Melee was a demo released in a local Kmart. This was a fair amount of time after I'd first seen the trailer.

The first match I played was on Pokemon Stadium, as black Bowser. My little 9 year old ass was so ****ing hyped for him.

Then I wasn't able to get the game until 2004.
