Maybe not the best title, but it needed to cover 4 types. Why? This team is built around my 2 favorite Pokemon: Charizard and Heracross!
Mainly what I plan to do on this team is to weaken up the opponent's team in order to let Charizard and Heracross wreak havoc! So let's get started:
Dootakun (Bronzong) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Sassy
252HP / 128Atk / 128SpD
-Stealth Rock
-Hypnosis
-Gyro Ball
-Earthquake
A very popular lead. Praying for a switch or miss, Bronzong hypnosis for 6-5adv for me. Also a stealth rocker due to sturdiness. Gyro Ball will do immense damage with 0 spd (which is why I pray for miss or switch on first turn =]). Earthquake for a damage dealing attack.
Rizardon (Charizard) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Timid
4Def / 252SpA / 252Spe
Flamethrower
Hidden Power: Grass
Dragon Pulse
Focus Blast
My favorite Pokemon! Lets face it, the reason I ran this set is because I lack Emerald, thus no Fire Punch. But after playing with this set, I really liked it. Covers many typings with fire, grass, dragon, and fighting moves. May be able to sweep a team after the Special Wall is taken out.
Herakrosu (Heracross) @ Choice Band
Ability: Guts
Nature: Adamant
104HP / 252Atk / 152Spe
Pursuit
Megahorn
Stone Edge
Close Combat
My second favorite Pokemon! First I tried out the Swords Dance set. I just wasn't feeling it. So I decided to go with this set. With Megahorn and Close Combat, both STABs and both 120atk, this beetle can murder a team, especially with his well-known counters removed from the game.
Gyarados (Gyarados) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Adamant
72HP / 252Atk / 184Spe
Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Earthquake
Ice Fang
Late Game sweep. Also, for one of Heracross's best counter in the game, Gliscor. Switch in on a Gliscor, DD and sweep. Life Orb makes it hard to stay alive early in the game, so this beast is mainly for the late game sweep.
Dosaidon (Rhyperior) @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
Nature: Impish
252HP / 4Atk / 252Def
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Megahorn
Roar
Physical Wall. Phazer. With massive defense, Rhyperior can phaze with the best of them. May run into trouble with Special attackers. With decent attack stat, EQ, Stone Edge, and Megahorn will surprise opponents not expecting it.
Dokukurage (Tentacruel) @ Leftovers
Ability: Liquid Ooze
Nature: Calm
204HP / 96SpA / 172SpD / 36Spe
Surf
Sludge Bomb
Rapid Spin
Giga Drain
Special Wall. Spinner. Those rocks will really kill my fun as it does 50% to my Charizard. So once I plan to send in Charizard, gotta clear the way with this thing. Also, he can switch in when a water Pokemon switches into Charizard and Giga Drain them. Surf and Sludge Bomb for STABs.
-----
Well, thats my team. I know that this team has many flaws, that's why I need your help. The only Pokemon I'm not switching out are Charizard and Heracross. Commentary about the Pokemon probably could've been a lot better, but I am still learning about the competitive style of the game.
So have fun, please help!
