Out of all the things that have happened in the community, and all admist the spoilers, I can truly tell you I am proud to say that I haven't been spoiled by the entirety of the ESRB leak. But as the wait for release goes on, it gets more perilous and dangerous when trying to avoid spoilers.... And when it releases in Japan, it will be a free for all spoiler fest no matter where we go. And where it'll be, we can't contain.

So to get to the point, who here along with me, is intentionally avoiding the internet in fear of spoilers for the new game until the EU/NA release? It seems like a daunting aspect, but that is what I've chosen to do.

Also use this thread to say your goodbyes if applicable.

I am looking at the spoiler thread but I am going to stop myself soon. I know like 80% about everything in the game, so I'm just going to ease off because I still want some surprise!! It's a gamer's Pandora's Box

By all means, look at the spoilers while you can. Will save you the initial disapointment of recent news/revealings and probably let you have more fun on the game when you're finally playing it.

But I'd rather be surprised and disappointed then all-knowing and content. I know certain things have transpired, but at the same time I want to save my feelings for when it comes out you know? I'm definitely not saying ignorance is bliss, but something similar but different to that in terms of being surprised.

I was about to use the word titillate but it kind of grosses me out

I know everything now too, but lets be honest; with this globalized world avoiding spoilers is impossible unless you unplug your router. But still Im okay with that because now I really want 3DS version, I know what to expect and despite that means no surprises Im still hyped for the things in the game is going to offer and the experience of playing it will overcome any disspointments or facts that many know now.

I was considering not spoiling myself, but that would be hard to do online. Glad I did in the end, because I'd be REALLY disapointed with how little the game has to offer compared to what I speculated. So, if you still intend to not spoil yourself....try to keep low expectations.

Considering outside of a character roster, there's really not much to spoil this time around (no SSE cutscenes on youtube), I think it's fine. Just can't wait to get my hands on the damn game

Lying about my country.
There is one thing I don't know that I don't wanna see until I have the game in my hands.

And that's the
Master Core's
attack patterns.

Learning and mastering the patterns of a boss is the whole fun of good boss fights, so I'm gonna want that to feel fresh once I fight that thing for the first time. I want those moves to take me by surprise.

Should be fairly easy to avoid even on this forum too, I already know what it looks like, so as soon as I recognize it from a gif or something, I can just quickly scroll away.

Other than that, don't really give a **** about spoilers. I would normally care, but I got the whole roster spoiled already with the leak, so there's not much point avoiding info now.

I watched that fight like 30 times and I still couldn't figure it out.

I originally was going to avoid all spoilers, but I decided it's better to not torture myself and just look at all the characters. The main reason I want to spoil myself though is because this is the time where the first techniques in the game are invented and I don't want to miss the discovery of them. The other day on VGBootcamp's stream of the demo for example, they found a way to short hop-airdodge without having to deal with increased landing lag and I'm glad I didn't miss that.

Spoiling yourself is half the fun. You won't be disappointed if you keep your expectations low all the way through.

I'm starting to kind of prefer this system tbh.

I rather not wait until I put in a bunch of hours into the game until I find out...

Smash isn't the kind if game I personally worry about spoilers. I'm also pretty disappointed in smash 4 in general for reasons more than just the roster.... ok, for reasons largely related to the roster.
