The Falco and Wolf Conundrum

I realize Wolf has his super large thread, but basically, I didn't wanna read 161 pages. And I used the search for Falco threads, and didn't get much. However, I wanna know what their potential differences are going to be, if both are to make it in. Essentially, they may get in each other's way, as I think 3 furry critters with lasers might be a bit much. I always thought Andross would've been a better StarFox villain choice, but that is not to be, for he has been doomed to the fate of an AT. Krystal wouldn't negate either of them either because of her staff.

So how do we decide who gets what, in regards to special moves? I haven't played Command because I'm not much for handheld games, so maybe there's some content in there that could be used, but based on Assault, it's pretty hard to give both good movesets, unless Wolf is just given completely original moves like the 64 Fox. I say Wolf because I always imagined this to be the new Falco moveset because I think Falco has priority over Wolf, being in Melee, so he should have first dibs on the Assault weaponry.

B: Blaster. Much like Melee, slower but more powerful than Fox's.
B>: Sniper. Falco gets on one knee and brings out the sniper, and holds this stance. Then move the control stick to move the aim of the sniper, instead of the crosshairs idea I've seen mentioned. I think it should just be a hit or miss, not a full out actual sniper. Nobody else gets to pinpoint their moves like that. You then press B while in stance to fire. Press B> again to exit the stance. Or you get out of it if you're hit. Also, you can change directions while in the stance with the control stick also (or however you choose to move, I suppose), but that's all the moving he can do while using the Sniper.
B^: Falco Illusion. Same concept as Melee, only vertical instead of horizontal. Falco is a bird you know, so his should be aerial.
BV: Grenade. Hold down the BV to increase how far you throw it. Or eventually you'll wait so long so that it'll throw on it's own, but by that point it will explode in the air, which may or may not be helpful. Otherwise it explodes when it makes contact with something. I don't count this a projectile, so it would counter Fox's reflector, but it doesn't have to.

The problem here is I've also seen the sniper and of course a 3rd blaster for Wolf. I suppose a 3rd blaster wouldn't be out of the question, since that's the big thing of StarFox. But they can't both have the Sniper. So who gets it, who doesn't, what are the alternative weapons. Maybe I just haven't thought of all the weapons, but I don't see both characters being able to have original movesets.

I apologize if all this has been answered on like page 2 of the Wolf thread, and for being so long-winded.

I'm all for lots of characters, so if it can be done then, by all means, have at it. But without trying to sound like I'm questioning the greatness and creativity of the production team, I personally don't see how it can be done. So what do you guys think are ways to seperate the two?

I would prefer Wolf be the decloned Falco along with Krystal.

I also don't think he necessarily HAS to follow the pattern of Fox and Falco either, and could be totally unique, meaning he could be put in along with those two if Krystal is not in for some reason.

A thought occured to me: What if Krystal was in an Arwing scene of the Adventure Mode, like Peppy and Toad? They had voices in Melee. Krystal isn't AT ALL that important to the Starfox series. She's just another character, replacing Peppy. I don't know about her or anyone else in Command, I didn't get it yet.

your jokeing right? have you not played assault, adventures, or command? she has been a major part of the series ever since she entered the series(shes fox's freaking love interest!). I highly doubt she will be just a arwing. I thinkt the three we will get are fox, krystal, and a completely decloned falco.

I honestly doubt she WON'T be playable. She has grown in popularity, and I find her a shoe-in at this point.

I expect Falco to make a reappearance in Brawl. As for a moveset, I would expect his to be a combination of his blaster, and crazy inventions that Slippy made. I like the idea of the upward illusion. I doubt a Reflector would appear again, so I think a Grenade would also be a good Down B. However, for Side B, I think it would be interesting to see something like an energy blast device.

As for Wolf, I would want his to be more weapon based. So, B would be a machine or gattling gun, over B being a the Sniper, down B a shot gun, and up B being a rocket launcher.

As for who I think will be represented...

Fox
Krystal
Falco
Wolf

In that order. I, however and sadly, expect only the first 3.

As long as it's all four I'm ok.

Um... I am not seeing the weapon-related movesets, sorry. Snake was stripped of all of his weapons save for some explosives which do fit in Brawl, but a shotgun, sniper rifle, machine gun of any sort?

I apologize for my unquickness to edit the post. I have corrected what I believe will happen.

I highly doubt all four will be included. But then again, I doubted Mewtwo and never heard of Game and Watch... so anything can happen.

Star Fox's weapons are extremely cartoony. They could fit them in.

Actually.. I see it more of a

Fox
Krystal
Falco

decision.

Krystal for her staff, gender, and possibly clothing uniqeness (if they choose Adventure)
Falco for his gigantic rocket launcher thing.

I think Krystal brings a LOT more uniqueness to the roster, so I'm rooting for her. Hopefully Wolf will be a boss (maybe fighting the whole Star Wolf squadron might be his boss level).

I think it will be . . .
Fox
Falco
Krystal

Im starting to think that SF aint going to get 4 characters and Falco got in in the first place BECAUSE he was wanted more than Wolf for Melee (now Krystal is a shoe in). Don't see any reason why he would be replaced. Unlike Ness he is still relavent to the series and plus he would be the only NON-K9 space animal of the group.

I think he will come back with either 3+ jumps or/and the power to glide cause he is a friggin bird.

Yeah, I don't see a problem with StarFox weapons in the movesets. As serosfan said, they're cartoony, whereas Snake's from a game that uses real world weapons. So yes, shotgun, rocket launcher and sniper are real world weapons also, they have the StarFox twist.

The reason I didn't go with that is because, for one, I like the Sniper from Assault, I'd like to see somebody have it, and I think Falco will be in before Wolf. Two, I thought it may become too much like Samus, Mewtwo, or the Super Scope. Three, I think, if Wolf were to get in, it could be his FS, a la Aperoid Ravaged Corneria, flying around on the Wolfen with the Plasma Cannon (even though it was Fox on the wing with the Cannon and Wolf in the cockpit. Just put Leon, Pigma, or the Panther in the Wolfen). So that's the logic I had there.
