We've got, count it SEVEN remixes of this one song in the game

* Kongo Jungle (remix from Smash 64) - little more than a remaster of the original song
* Jungle Level (remix from Brawl) - Also little more than a remaster of the original song
* Jungle Level ver. 2 (remix from Brawl)
* Jungle Level Jazz style
* Jungle Level Tribal style
* Jungle Hijinx (original from Returns) - the awesome remix from Kenji Yamamoto for DKCR.
* Swinger Flinger (remix from Tropical Freeze) - the even more awesome remix from the original composer: David Wise. NOTE: The title is wrong. While it does play in half of the Secret Temples, it first plays on the second Secret Temple: Bopopolis.

By comparison, the SMB1 overworld theme, has AFAIK, four remixes: Super Mario Bros. Medley, Ground Theme/Underground Theme, Ground Theme (Brawl), and Princess Peach's Castle (Melee). That's pretty sad if the most popular Nintendo song gets less renditions than the theme of DKC.

I personally can't complain, it's the most iconic song from that entire franchise in my mind.

We also have, I believe, three renditions of Encounter/Together We Ride. One in "Fire Emblem" (Melee), one in the Meeting Theme Medley, and I'm pretty sure it appears in the Shadow Dragon Medley, though I haven't listened to that one in a long time.

We've also got at least 2 or 3 renditions of the old Yoshi Story theme. Two versions of the Pokemon main theme, several versions of the Hyrule Overworld, two versions of Gerudo Valley, three versions of Gaur Plains (the two directly from Xenoblade and the quick version in the medley), at least two versions of the Brinstar theme, three variants of Ridley's battle theme, two versions of the Wii Sports opening....

The list goes on and on. Good point that we have seven of one, but honestly, I like all seven variants more than the rest of the options for that series.

Melee Jungle Japes isn't a song in Smash 3DS. The only DK songs in this game are Kongo Jungle 64, Gear Getaway and Stickerbrush Simphony.
Huh, really? That's what I get for skipping Smash 3DS. Better edit that out.

They're good songs, though.

I would love more Donkey Kong songs (Crocodile Cacophany and Lockjaw's Saga please thank you based Sakurai~), but for what we have, I think they're pretty top-notch soundtracks. I want to get up and dance every time I hear Gear Getaway and Mole Patrol and they manage to make the ubiquitous Jungle Hijinxs sound catchy and memorable in every different iteration of it~

It is a bit ridiculous how this one song gets seven variations... how about several different songs from other DKC levels?

Scorch 'n Torch, Homecoming Hijinx, Seashore War, Disco Train, Fear Factory, Primal Rave... can I just say that David Wise is like the Hans Zimmer of video games, but more memorable?
