I'm typing this from the Wii, so please bear with me.

Well, hello fellow SmashBoarders! I am here to tell you all the minute differences in Snake's taunts (you know... just in case someone out there cares). I have already searched around a bit to see if this was already done, but I did not see any posts regarding his taunts..

Alright.

Up Taunt
Using this taunt appears to allow Snake to withdraw into his box the fastest.

Side Taunt
Snake enters his box, one hand on the floor and the other on the box. Seems to be the slowest of all three taunts.

Down Taunt
He enters his box two-handedly at normal speed.

Well, there's my analysis. I guess the only strategic thing you can retrieve from this is that you can Up Taunt to spam boxes faster.

Hmm... now that I think of it, I haven't checked if there are any differences in damage, exit time, or knockback.

Well anyway, thanks for reading my first post!
:)

Oh! Mine as well put some of Sanke tactics here and save some thread space.

Here's a technique that I use against Dash Attackers:
-Take out grenade.
-Use sheild to drop it.
-Continue sheilding until opponent has blown him or herself up.
-Attack/grab to your heart's content.

Another tactic I use to annoy my friends:
-Pull out nade.
-Sheild.
-Pick nade up.
-Run towards opponent.
-Sidestep/Sheild/Airdodge moments before grenade explodes.
-Attack him or her.

I call this Snake-a-ciding.
All you have to do is to always count the time you are holding the nade, from the "ping" to the explosion.

Actually we already knew all these tricks and the differences in the box taunts as well. There's been several threads on the topic since february and it's listed in both the Solid Snake discussion thread and Les Enfants Terrible players list.

Search option is your friend, and welcome to SWF

Hmm. I did search, but I guess I didn't search hard enough.

Well, thank you at least for the warm welcoming!
