The deletion of smash vids on youtube. does it affect ssb64?

I'm curious, because over in the melee section apparantly the community is trying to move all the smash vids to a new website because of copyright issues, Youtube.com is deleting melee videos.

I dont know if they're attacking smash 64 yet, but it's only a matter of time. Especially since some ssb64 matches are dubbed with copyrighted music from linkin park for example.

If there is copyrighted music from Warner, then yes they will be affected. They're not specifically targetting Smash or something, it's just videos with copyright music.

Youtube videos are also deleted cause someone flags it, and then it's deleted automagically.

So, likelyhood of scrub flagging it?

Also, if I remember, it's not against copyright to showcase copyright games...I know nothing about copyrights, bleh. My knowledge of law sucks, but that's not my major so it's cool.

Yeah, They deleted my video of me and my friends in highschool because it had guns and roses in it.


Hmm, well they weren't deleting smash videos before, and since there's SOOO many of them on youtube, wont they consider the extreme and delete ALL smash videos? I remember them doing it with a show called metalocalypse, as fast as it was uploaded it was deleted.

That's because it's a TV show.

Smash vids are only being pulled if they used Warner music.

If a video (of any kind) uses copyrighted music, they dont delete it, they give you a warning, to either change the music or silence the video.
Im pretty sure YT will never delete normal ssb64 vids

Because combo vids usually contain external music. Some metal, well, anything. Which is copyrighted, then yeah.

Some normal match vids too contain copyrighted music.
