i've heard that is with lives, and the lives are teh diferent characters of the team, so if you lose a life, you had to change the character...

also, i don't think the character can die, after all, they are trophies, but it seems that can be reconverted to static trophies, that would be similar of dying, but can be easly revived... (as happens with kirby after being beaten by mario, with mario after being beaten by that cannonball and then found by pit...etc...)

Only people who I could see dying are the members of the subspace emissary that aren't Nintendo characters. Even then I think they'd just be deaths like explosions or bursts of light. I could see Ganondorf being killed off by Link since he dies in other games. Aside from that though Smash just doesn't seem like the type of game to kill off a cast member. Take that as you will.

Epic win. Also, the whole audience watching Mario and Kirby fight died. Along with Petey Pirahna... If someone important dies, it's gonna be an "OMG they killed Kenny!" type of thing. The one who is used to dying will die. Like someone else said, Ganondorf. Also, blooaaga should play some Fire Emblem games. Once someone dies, they're gone for good.

they're all going to die when you finally get the game after standing in line for an hour and a half on feb 10th when in the middle of your celebration dance you trip flat on your face and drop the game into the street and with flawless accuracy your best bud accidently runs over the game with his car. then you can add the soon to be death of your friend to the list too. its like a cornucopia of deaths


in all seriousness..this is a dumb question. after the 59 second video ended today not diddy nor fox had a scratch, burn, or bruise on them. its almost like their videogame characters and they cant die.

I think Rayquaza was just kidnapping Diddy and not really going to eat him. But hey, that's just me.

The Koopa that was smashed by DK died and didn't turn back into a trophy.

And probably that Goomba he knocked away.

So far we got 2 certain, non-trophyfied deaths and 1 possible death. lol
