This forum needs a cosplay discussion thread. So here it is!

Discuss cosplay in any form: cosplays you've done, cosplays you want to do, cosplays you're working on, cosplays you like, your favourite cosplayers, tips and advice on cosplay - whatever floats your boat, fellow 'player enthusiasts~

Right now I'm helping my costume-designer associate on a cosplay of Taokaka from BlazBlue for a con in July. This is a rare instance of me going full-on female with my costume of choice (I usually go for something more androgynous or less revealing), and I'm very excited for how it will turn out!

The mask and paws are going to be the trickiest parts, as we have to ensure they've got the right image as well as being practical enough to wear; we're going to use stable wire in the tail to make it stand upright whilst still bouncing around as I move, and the boots are going to be faux-platforms to compensate for the fact that I'm actually quite tall and need to have room to maneuver in it.

I cosplayed as Rin Tohsaka from Fate/Stay Night a little over two years ago (January 2013). I didn't make it though, I bought it and I made the ribbons myself. I didn't use a wig for this one x.x

Does it look better with or without the wig?
Next time I go to a con I'm probably going to cosplay as as someone else. But I don't even know when I'm going to one again as I haven't been to one in so long.

I felt like cosplaying Kamina from Gurren Lagann this year, but since I've only restarted my serious training ~3months ago I don't think I'll have enough muscle by to give the character justice. Specifically the abs xD

Hopefully I can make it in time for the con.

It was a crappy cheap wig I bought at a Halloween costume store xD The wig was so nappy and tangly it was a nightmare to brush out all the tangles. Never again x3

I like to make use of my natural hair with my cosplays. It worked remarkably well for Yui Hirasawa from K-On! and Pit. ;3

Except I kinda broke my guitar when I cosplayed Yui.
