The birth -> The golden ages -> The Era of Gods -> What's next?

Just to ask your opinions, looking through smash history, we've had our dramatic periods. From birth, to the golden ages of smash (The King of Smash, The underdog, The Newlyweds, etc, then we moved on through brawl, to the Era of the 5 gods, then the god slayer, and now the crowds are beginning to catch up to the gods (Plup, Westballz, Axe, etc).

What do you think is next for the history of smash? Is smash4 going to rise up and take over? Or will things stay roughly as they are? Will the demigods rise up to the occasion? And on a sidenote, do you really think 20XX Will become a thing? Is Fox going to rule the metagame?

Regardless if you like Smash 4 or not, it's impossible for it to become more popular than Melee.

I hope future generations they play melee i will hate it if they play smash 4 instead.

I say next is going to be the return of crew battles. Though melee and sm4sh will still be the main events and smash64 will be picked up by more tournaments, crew battles are going to start to be a major thing again.

And I hope people still play melee and pm, its a great game to watch at a high level and it generates the most hype out of the other smash games.
