The Babies Mario; Another Yoshi Rep??

Please don't close, this is about as related as i can get!!

Recently a possible roster list was 'leaked' and was quickly deemed by most to be fake, which is what everyone who saw it agreed on, even if they did not express it... something about this 2chan.

Anyhoo the reason people couldn't agree was the sheer number of characters was simply to much to comprehend, that and the choices. For some reason Balance and Smash seems to ring very strongly in some peoples minds... I'm not touching that topic right now, but i will say this.

"If the game was balanced, when Yoshi or Bowser eats, nothing recognizable should come out."just one veiw but y'know w/e. back onto point
this is not to bash or praise the.... megaman- and hagane-less list, however it is to discuss one of the inclusions Baby Mario and Luigi.

Who's to say IC wasn't just a test run to see about team mechanics in Smash?? If successful, which it was, why not implement that characteristic into other characters in some other way?? Granted a Baby's mobility in smash is very questionable, but we've seen odder yes??

Some immediately say, why weren't Diddy and Dixie a team?? I'd imagine this would style of gameplay would inly be suited to characters who actually need and depend on it for function at all. In most donkey kong games, the character can function perfectly well alone, if missing out on a few extra.

Discuss this, the other possible Yoshi Rep.

its likely tht baby mario n luigi are in, since they r included in double dash n the new mario kart for wii. if those babies could drive, they should at least be old enough 2 fight. i doubt ness/lucas drive yet. anyway, its nintendo and anythings possible. if they do get in, there will def be a connection between them n yoshi.

As long as they make the babies Mario an original pair of fighters, I don't mind them getting in. As long as it's not a sorry excuse to put more Mario in the game, like was the case with Doctor Mario. =/

And, it would be original, and personally I can imagine some costume changes for em. And moves.

But it seems so Far-fetched. And they would probably represent the Mario series if they were wearing there overalls, instead of diapers. And they would.

Oh come on, the Doc is great, but also just another Mario.

And you might be right about them representing the Mario series, but they only appeared in 1 main Mario game, Mario & Luigi Partners in Time, while they appeared in 2 main Yoshi games, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island DS. Yoshi's Touch & Go doesn't count, it was more like a techdemo. So as far as I see it, they would be better off representing the Yoshi series.

And god, if they wear diapers, I sure hope they won't make that TOO detailed. Ugh. XD

doc must be limited as in not a PC you gotta admit if theres gonna be another mario, 2-3 max he needs to have much more than one game which is constantly remade and some sort of large differences... Sakurai said he put him in because the proportions were similar and he liked the character... i see him returning in some form, at best an alt outfit, hopefully with no stat edits, but i doubt that. AT at second best, memorabilia w/e a doubt

I would want the baby's if they were Yoshi reps, I want every possibility to a Mario spot left to go to Geno, Paper Mario and Bowser Jr.

but seriously, I doubt the babies would be in, if they were, Id guess that theyd be riding on a Yoshi.

it would be cool if you could alternate which baby you have on your back, similar to yoshis island ds, which has baby mario, luigi, peach, DK, wario and baby bowser.

Baby Yoshi FTW!! also, keep in mind this isn't a babies support thread, although their mode of transport would be something to think about... a kart is the first thing that always comes to mind but then it's always "WTF!! A KART?! gtfo babies!!" they could ride a baby yoshi to complete the theme, but i don't think a baby yoshi could carry them, and if so they would flesh out the idea to focus on the yoshi switching between Mario, Luigi, Peach, DK, and Bowser... or Maybe just Mario and Luigi... or perhaps they are more than meets the eye... Hyper Speed Crawling action for running, and AWWW~!! two legs when they walk slowly?!

still if in, need to be an ice climber clone; also resolved the clone Up+B issue... uses a blankey instead of a rope

you haven't heard the arguments against dixie kong?? everyone accepted her a deconfirmed simply because her trophy appeared on the dojo, and sakurai 'wouldn't reveal a character before confirmation" or he hasn't... or so they say...

then again that only pertained to dojo updates, which said video wasn't...we must wait and see

Seems like a silly argument lol. Dixie Kong, Baby Mario... I don't really want either in brawl lol. But if this goes to stickers... I'd be sad to hear Bowser Jr deconfirmed Krystal was a sticker too, and that would make a good portion of smashboards mad lol, then again there were Sonic stickers, so there goes that argument

we just got way off topic... actually there was no topic, as this was further addressing the possibility of a rumored character, included in a list which has since been proven false...

although there are no other Babies Mario Support threads... Lol what if he were a pikmin clone?? You'd be a baby yoshi and would randomly pull out a baby mario, luigi, Peach, DK, Bowser, or toad. Only difference is this time you'd actually have to fetch them... if they fall down, they slowly float up in bubbles and you can't use them again until they pop. Instead of having a bunch follow you, perhaps you'd simple switch them out, and they'd all come out only when needed.

when you think about it, Melee was somewhat of a trail period for new ideas in smash and fighting games in general[[sorta]] the ic's basically opening the door for co-operating players and Zelda/Shiek kicked that door down with interchangable characters. If clones were to come back, i'd be fine seeing this as one of their forms.
