In this video I discuss the overall appeal of Super Smash Bros. to the casual player or someone just getting into the franchise.

I will be making follow-up videos addressing "The Moderate" and "The Hardcore".
Sorry if I kept things a bit too basic for your tastes, I'm currently working Windows Movie Maker (as i have no budget) and so editing takes a while, making me want to keep things on the shorter side.

In any case I hope you enjoy the video and if so post your thoughts!

It was kind of cool just listening you talk about why players pick up Smash and the whole items aspect. I remember playing 64 back before Melee' s time and thinking that it was so cool that I could be Link and beat up on Pikachu or vice versa. Finally, with the release of Smash 4 getting to answer my childhood playground question. Who would win, Link or Cloud?

As a moderately competitive player myself, I haven't played with items or wacky stages in a long time. But Im sure 99% of all Smash players started out playing with items on; and on the craziest of stages. That's all part of what made us fall in love with the game when we were young and why many of us play competitively today. Sometimes I think it would be fun to go back to those days.

Interesting video, looking forward to the next one!

Good video, but you should probably both speak louder next time, and sound a lot less bored. You don't need to sound as excited as Etika, but it's hard to pay attention to the video when you don't sound much into it.
Also, yes, you should probably upgrade from WMM. You could probably get a more advanced editor, not necessarily paid, and try to make a much more visually appealing video.
I think the absolute pinnacle of budget-less videomakers is Xbox Ahoy. Although this is one of his more recent videos (of course he has more experience than in his first few ones), he really shows how good a video can turn out even if you have is knowledge of multiple editing programs and a good mic.
