Ness's True Combos
Welcome! This thread is the place to find all of Ness's guaranteed combos. Whether you're a new Ness player trying to get used to his combos or you're a seasoned Ness main looking for more optimal punishes, this is the place to be.

To begin with, this thread will have all of the combos I'm aware of and can perform consistently, a rough estimate of the %s they start and end at and the amount of damage they do. As time goes on, I'd like to update the thread with the exact %s they start and end at for every character, which characters they work on and which ones they don't, how DI affects the combos and how rage affects them, too. Eventually, I'd also like to add videos/GIFs of the combo to show players how to perform them (preferably in training mode so we can confirm it's a true combo), so that will either happen when I get a capture card or get submissions from anyone on these boards that has one already.

If you'd like to get another combo added to this list, post the combo and what % it starts and ends at in the comments. If other Ness mains can verify that it works (or you post a video of it), I'll add it to the list.

Please note all of the combos below were tested on Captain Falcon in training mode (no rage and no DI), so in an actual match they may work for a longer or shorter period of time (or not work at all) depending on the situation.

Why does everyone test on Falcon? he is very unique to his style. he gets comboed easy so ofc things will work much better on him.

As I said, I'll be updating the thread with the characters certain combos do and do not work on anyway.

But Mario for example. Utilt works on Falcon till 40-50% while it works on Ness till 12%. I am just saying Falcon isnt reliable to test combos. try another character like Mario or Sonic, who represents majority of the cast. There are a few outliers like Jigglypuff and Bowser, but those two are good at escaping combos.

Falcon definitely isn't the most reliable character to test on.

Of course, combos will start and end at different percents for all characters, either way, I don't feel like this as to be perfect, right? As long as we know the combo and its basic percent range.

One small nitpick: you have the same true combo listed twice. PK Flash (fully charged) > Neutral air

Starts:0%
Ends:20%
Works on all the cast, but floaties end % is a bit lower. This can also combo into any grab setup true combos such as
Grab > Nair
Grab > fair
Grab > uair

In the discord group people have mentioned Dthrow>Fair>Uair>Uair
I heard about that too, it only works if they di in, which is never a good idea to do, so it will never work on good players pretty much. Unless they're doing a weird mixup.
