Texture Hacks on Balanced Brawl

Bear with me mods, im new here and i really dont know if this is in the right section or not.

On the balanced brawl website it says that to use texture hacks you just put them on the SD card and it will work automatically. Does anyone have a more technical explanation of how to do it? Im new to this type of thing. My wii isnt even hacked, so it might not work anyway. But the way it talked on the site, textures DO work on an unmodded wii using BB. Do they? and how would i go about it, as in what folders and such do i put them in on the SD card?

Textures go in RSBE/pf/fighter/(X character)
They should be in PCS format.
As for running BB on an unmodded Wii, you can use Smash Stack to load gecko OS, which will load BB. Google is your friend.

i have used google, but found nothing as specific as i needed. The BB website talked as though nothing else is required, you just unzip the texture file then put it on the SD card. So you have to use gecko? can it brick your wii?

LOL no. Its just a cheating program.
Though to use Smash Stack you have to get rid of all your Custom stages, as Smash Stack exploits the way Custom stages are loaded.

ok thanks. i have downloaded a few textures already and in their folder there is a PAC and a PCS. Do i put both into the folder or just the PCS?

Go to "How to install texture hacks"

Edit: you need the pac for characters with transformations like Bowser and Samus. Just read the guide. And skip the code, its already in BB

Edit2: Before an admin infracts me for posting in this kind of thread, I was expecting it to go towards using Brawl hacks on an um-modded Wii. If this is still against the rules then my bad. Won't happen again.

well actually i do need the PAC files for Samus, according to that thread anyway.

and sorry if i sounded like a total noob, i did google for an hour or so and did search the site, i just didnt find anything as specific as what i needed to know.
