"I think what that guy said about textures not fully loading is what it is because we all have 1 similar code, and it's the textures. I propose we ask for a texture loading accelerator code or something if possible.
And Falco is right about some textures being screwed up, I had to ask him about an Ike one yesterday. It was a blue Ike which froze my Wii within 5 seconds of him being used and a green and black Wolf one on KittyCorp which froze the gameplay everytime you used neutral B. So some are F-ed up. Here's what you can do to reduce freezing from my experiences:
- Search for and discard any textures that are screwed up. (Gotta test them all, sorry D=)
- Try not to pick more than 3 same character at a time.
- Don't have everyone use random (Really loud freeze at a crew meeting Saturday because this was attempted).
- Have .pac files for characters who need them to function (See Falco's thread). You absolutely need these even though KittyCorp and StackSmash doesn't supply them a lot of the time. >_> Characters who need these off the top of my head, so forgive ne if I missed any. These characters are Zelda/Sheik, PT, Wario and Bowser (Don't even bother with his, he's just screwed up >_>).
Also try not to have a custom CSS as awesome as they are they cause the freezing also, I've heard. So that's my long and painful plus time consuming experience with this crap. lol It's a hard process esspecially when you're new to the hacking field but so **** rewarding so don't stress it, go to the Brawl+ chat for help as Falco400 has been of great help to me (Sorry if I was an annoyance xD). There you guys go, enjoy and hope I've been of help.
(Also support my texture code accelerator idea =D, because your Wii can freeze outta knowhere from it not having enough time to load.) =p
