Tether Recovery....Just a Thought

Alright guys, I was talking to some people like 5 minutes ago about Link's tether recovery being a crazy good homing device. Now, lets just assume that wavedashing is not possible in brawl. you knock your enemy off the stage, but it looks like they can sweetspot the edge. Assuming they can't tether recover as well, you short hop backwards, fast fall, and tether right to the edge and sweet spot it for a crazy fast edgehog. if you can do that, and all tether recoveries are homing, it looks like we have a new edgehog fellas.

The tether doesn't bring you to the edge instantly, it hangs you down from it until you pull yourself up which probably takes another second or so. Who knows whether or not the whole process leaves you vulnerable. Even if it is an edgehog, it's only available to the handful of characters that have tethers - currently just ZSS, Samus and Link.

True, but it could be like melee where you can press A at the perfect time and sweetspot. I'm just saying though, if it works it could be a good strategy.

or you could shorthop and fastfall to grab the edge without the tether...
