Testing Your Main

What's the best way you guys find to test if you are good with a character, without versing actual people or amiibos?

Do you try and 3 stock or 4 stock a level 9 CPU?

Just wanna know what the general consensus is for how people test their skill with a character.

I will briefly answer your question from my perspective. It's hard to tell if you're good or not with a character without being able to compare yourself with someone else. When fighting a CPU, you will eventually learn the "habits" of that CPU. I'm not saying you can't be good with someone from wrecking a CPU, it's just going to be much harder to gauge it.
