Basicly w/ my tech skill right now i have no trouble short hopping and fast falling aerials.. but i can only l cancle them about 30% of the time. And i can wave dash ok once or twice in a row but then i always miss the wavedash somehow and end up just jumping up into the air.

Another thing. I have a lot of trouble chaining together wave dashes. It seems like towards the end of the wave dash my shield always comes on for a split second and that keeps me from chaining them together really fast. What is the cause of this?

any advice to clear any of these up and

Also any tips on drills to improve L-cancling technique would be appreciated.

If your shield comes up when you wavedash, that means you're holding L or R too long. Your wavedash problems can really only be helped with experience. After a while, the timing will become more natural to you.

As for L-cancelling... it might help you if you realize that the timing is different if you miss your opponent.

Shuffling its easy> (Short Hop)+(aerial attack)+( Down + L)

Yeah..., press (down + L) right after your attack(while doing it on the air). When hitting your opponent, you have to press (down+L) just when you hit him. The drill kick is the same (for me).

About your problem with wavedash... yeah, you're holding the L or R button to long it happens to starters, just remember : for fox you must press the buttons quick and almost simultaneously not in sequence, it's hard to get perfect wavedashes at first but then with practice is easy
