Teaming with Falco

In teams, my friend plays falco and i play marth, and no matter how hard we try, we seem to always get in each other's way. Whenever i'm swinging at the ledge, he gets accidentally hit (marth's sword's so beautifully long) and whenever i'm in a battle, a stray laser screws me up.

Any tips? Any marth-falco teams out there that have developed some good strategies?

The main problem most Marth team players have is when their teammates don't know how to get out of the way. When I play with better players it's amazing how often they will shield expecting me to Fsmash through them or give me openings. The important thing is to learn to stay apart and how to help each other properly. If Falco is trying to recover and someone is trying to edgegaurd him, Fsmash is simply not a good option unless you get get over there quickly. You would be much safer off in dtilting, neutral A, fairing or grabbing the opponent. Another thing I like to stress is if both an enemy and my teammate is recovering I prefer them to not go for the edge, to enable me to edgegaurd it. With falco and his short recovery range you can't really do that.

Your best bet is to let Falco do most of the work (especially if he is good at comboing) and just fair camp and grab and fsmash when you have openings.
